Is this transaction safe? Let's find it with the Fire Extension!
Would you like to know whether the transaction you're about to approve in your wallet is safe or not? Who wouldn't?
Today, I'll be introducing you the Fire extension -> https://www.joinfire.xyz/
Whenever we approve a transaction in our crypto wallet, we're essentially calling a specific function of a smart contract. If there's any sneaky malicious code in it, our wallet is at risk, and we might instantly lose all our assets.
This is where Fire comes to the rescue! Fire is a free extension that simulates a transaction before giving the green light. It's always on the lookout, running our signatory transactions in a simulation to keep us informed.
Good news! Fire works with any EVM-compatible wallet, so it assists even when we're using wallets other than MetaMask.
Now, each time you're about to make a move with a smart contract, Fire has got your back. Before giving approval, you'll see Fire's notification alongside your wallet's, helping you make an informed decision
So, how to use it?
First, we will download the Fire extension from the Chrome extension store. And, it's not just for Chrome users! It's also compatible with Firefox, Opera and Brave.
Head over to http://joinfire.xyz and click on 'Add to Chrome' button. Follow the steps and boom, you're all set!
While it might sometimes seem confusing about the contract or transaction details, Fire simplifies this by running a quick simulation. Knowledge is power!
