Word of the day - Week 4 2025

Each week I try and post a summary of words that have been lingering around in my prayers, meditations, readings, thoughts, interactions, etc. Posting these words helps me to set specific intentions, reflect on different topics, and connect with my inner knowing on a deeper level. I explain what each word meant to me in that specific week. With these posts, I want to encourage others to be more aware of their thoughts and feelings, and to put more intent into their lives by reflecting (and possibly) writing about their experiences. I am hoping the intentional art of writing will be brought to everyone. Writing has changed my life in many different ways. I wish for you the same 🪷

The prompts below the words of the week are meant as writing prompts for you to reflect on relevant concepts in your personal, professional or any other relevant area in your life. Happy writing! ✍🏾

The words of week 3

Genesis
Repentance

Hone

Story

The words the 4th week of the year were all in the light of reading about new starts, beginning, consuming different material for personal and spiritual growth. Tossing everything out and writing a new story. Again this week, made AI write a story portraying the context of the words in a short piece. Enjoy the read and write!

Genesis, the beginning, a new year, a new chapter, the first book in the Bible and also the first Bitcoin block mined by Satoshi Nakamoto. What do new beginnings mean to you? Where do you need to start a new and why?

Repenting when making a mistake is hard, but necessary when you want to free yourself from old behaviour. In what areas of your life do you still need to apply repentance? Why? What is holding you back? What is needed to repent?

We don’t really connect on faith anymore. People believe in everything and in nothing. Do you have faith in something? Why or why not? Do you believe faith is missing from our lives now a days? Where can you begin to have faith again?

Reading and consuming the Bible, just to see what consuming it would do to me has been a profound experience. Not only do I feel a strange sense of grounding and calm within myself. I find myself wanting to read more and more of it. Event hough I am not able to process all of it now. What books are you reading giving you daily calm and peace? What are these books teaching you?

Hone - honing your relationship with God, honing the things you want to master. Spending deliberate time on the things you want to perfect because you want to become better. Are you honing on specific things you find important for your growth as a person - individually and collectively? If not, what can you do about it?

The line between stuck and forward. The line between here and there. The line between past and future. The line between close and far. What lines are you willing are needing to cross to grow out of stage you are possibly stuck in now?

What stories are you still telling yourself that are not true anymore? Are those stories yours or formed by voices and situations from the past. Are you willing to write your own new story? Write the story down.

The story of week 4

At the genesis of the year, Lucas found himself at a crossroads, each day a blank page in the story of his life. As he read the lines of his past, marked by scattered faith and half-hearted commitments, he felt the weight of necessary repentance for the paths he had wandered away from. Deciding to hone his spiritual discipline, he dedicated time each morning to read the Bible, seeking to reconnect with a faith that felt both distant and deeply needed. In the quiet of dawn, his story began to realign, tracing a new line through the chapters of his life, one that sought understanding in the depth of scripture and the earnest pursuit of growth. Lucas learned that every day offered a new beginning, a chance to reshape his narrative with purpose and penitence, drawing closer to the divine and the true essence of his aspirations.

I love playing with words and written language. Especially discovering words and lingo I don't often use. Feel free to drop any words you have been feeling into the past (few) week(s) in the comments. Who knows we might learn from each other 🪷

I wish you a great new week❣️
