The Blizzard
Through the howling winds and blinding snow,
I trudged on, with nowhere to go.
My heart was pounding, my mind was tense,
As I struggled to escape this blizzard immense.
The cold seeped through my clothes and skin,
As I searched for shelter, but all was thin.
I thought of giving up, succumbing to fate,
But something inside me pushed on, to escape.
With every step, my willpower grew,
And I knew I couldn't let this storm defeat me, I knew.
I pushed through the drifts, and kept moving ahead,
And soon, I saw a light, my heart filled with dread.
I stumbled towards it, my hope renewed,
And found a cabin, my heart filled with gratitude.
I burst through the door, and collapsed on the floor,
But I knew I had escaped the blizzard's roar.
Now safe and warm, I think back on that night, When I fought to survive,
with all my might. And I know that I can face any storm,
For I have escaped the blizzard's deadly form.
