Mine Zephyr (ZEPH) Crypto Using XMRig for CPU
Zephyr emerges as an untraceable, over-collateralized stablecoin protocol, seamlessly combining the virtues of stability and privacy.
Rooted in the groundbreaking Djed Protocol and incorporating Monero's robust privacy features, Zephyr establishes a fresh benchmark for digital currencies. In the forthcoming discussion, we will walk you through the intricacies of mining Zephyr using Xmrig and the Randomx algorithm.
What is Xmrig and Randomx?
Xmrig stands as an open-source CPU miner tailored for Randomx, a proof-of-work (PoW) algorithm meticulously crafted for general-purpose computing. The brilliance of Randomx lies in its optimization for CPU performance and memory usage, fostering a fair environment for all miners. This optimization also serves to mitigate the advantages associated with specialized hardware like application-specific integrated circuits (ASIC).
Let's get started
Before you start mining Zephyr, please ensure that you have the following requirements
Zephyr Protocol Wallet Account
Zephyr Wallet Address
XMRig (latest version)
Disable Anti-virus temporarily or Exclude XMRig Folder and the Mining Software
- Install XMRig, download the appropriate package for your operating system and extract the folder
Example: Windows 10 or 11 - 64 Bit, choose xmrig-6.21.0-gcc-win64.zip
- Go to https://zephyr.herominers.com/ and select "Start"
- Scroll down and you should see XMRig configuration, follow the instructions provided
@echo off xmrig.exe --donate-level 1 -o de.zephyr.herominers.com:1123 -u YOUR_ZEPH_WALLET_ADDRESS -p YOUR_WORKER_NAME -a rx/0 -k pause
- The de.zephyr.herominers.com:1123, change it to your nearest location and ports
- The YOUR_ZEPH_WALLET_ADDRESS, change it to your Zephyr Wallet Address
- The YOUR_WORKER_NAME, put your worker name
The finished output for example would look like
@echo off xmrig.exe --donate-level 1 -o hk.zephyr.herominers.com:1123 -u ZEPHYR3datN5fhkZ5VdDixHHXHaj34a4ciPdUSp5D8gAVuTBgtBe6H2Unefqqf11TtVxFKnbh1GUve9DTLDcwfSNL2hFhtdUuPp4E -p jieun -a rx/0 -k pause
Now, place the .cmd in the XMRig folder, then right click XMRig and check the "Run as Admin"
Then run it, it will look like this (example)
Monitoring
Check on your mining progress by accessing the Herominer ZEPHYR mining pool web interface.
While I think solo mining is an option for those with high-end CPUs capable of finding a block in a matter of days, this guide focuses on joining a mining pool. Pool mining offers more frequent payments and aids in maintaining a stable network. Additionally, be vigilant about monitoring your computer's CPU temperatures and performance. Optimal cooling and power management configurations are essential for ensuring smooth operations.
Note: If you want to mine crypto using CPU and any other crypto token, you can use Unmineable as it uses RandomX algorithm.
You can use my referral code if you are using Unmineable
5xs4-vf8i
For using the referral code on XMRig, go here and choose advanced, the rest is self explanatory
Example:
Download the .bat file and put it on the XMRig folder and run it, you can also run it with admin if there's an error or limitations for the "hashrate"
As of now the most profitable algorithm for CPU mining should or might be RandomX or Ghostrider (Raptoreum). The most profitable crypto coin (as of now) for CPU mining is ZEPH using the RandomX algorithm.
Extra Note: Profit depends on your CPU Hashrate
Embarking on crypto mining with Zephyr using Xmrig and the Randomx algorithm is a streamlined process, offering you the chance to contribute to this pioneering privacy-focused stablecoin. By adhering to the steps outlined in this article, you'll be well on your way to actively participating in the Zephyr network and, potentially, reaping Zephyr rewards along the way.
