Join Superteam, make memes and make money, it’s that easy.
If you’re a writer or developer, or simply someone who has a passion for remote work, you might spend plenty of time searching blogs and looking for opportunities of this nature. While things have calmed since the days of remote working during the COVID pandemic, there are still plenty of ways. But where do you start? And, more importantly, how do you make money from your art, writing or development skills? Read on, because today we’ve got one solid option for you.
Focusing on Solana, Superteam comes with a distinct twist.

What Is Superteam

A bounty-style website, Superteam aims to bring collaborative work to the Solana blockchain, crowdsourcing art, app development, social media marketing and blogging to its community of talented creators. Extremely simple in its design both blockchain projects and web 3 creators of all types are able to be paid for their work, ideas and effort. A refreshing surprise!
It’s really as simple as it is ingenious. Register your account and complete your profile then start looking for a bounty that suits your talents. Once you’ve found one, you can check out the entry conditions, submit your entry and await judging!
If you have a Web 3 project that needs some promotion or attention, you’ll simply need to create your profile, design the bounty you need, aiming to onboard the best of the superteam community and simply register your bounty. Once it’s done, simply sit back and let the community take care of the rest. It’s crowd-sourcing at it’s finest.
Bounties vary in value according to the project specifications and conditions required to successfully complete the project. Typically though, you’ll be paid in USDC stablecoins for award prizes. However, in some instances, some projects may decide to fund bounty payouts by using their own cryptocurrency token. Check the conditions before entry to figure out what applies to a specific bounty.

Grants

As well as hosting bounties, Superteam also has a grants section, where they look to engage creators and developers on long-term projects that focus on helping the world of crypto become a more user-friendly and safer place. Often, these grants are larger in value than the bounties with a workload that's representative of that change. Don’t let that put you off though, because all manner of projects are regularly funded and sponsored.
So if you’re sitting on a great idea or have your own vision on how to make the World of Web 3 a nicer place, now might just be the time to compile a submission and bring that dream to life.
A quick warning though. Despite what you’ve been told there’s no free lunch in the world of crypto. As such, to successfully land yourself a grant you’ll need to have a clear project vision as well as be able to demonstrate both value to the community and a clear way of tracking your project's metrics.

Activity Levels

If you’re unfamiliar with the world of Web 3, there’s one thing that most creators tend to like. Stablecoins. Or more specifically, FREE stablecoins (contextually speaking). So, as you’d imagine, there’s usually a whole bunch of attention received by new listings. While entry numbers vary according to the bounty, you’ll usually find the competition to be pretty intense for the most part.
If we look at a current bounty that was listed by Kamino Finance, we see 83 submissions that are currently vying for $1000USD in bounty rewards.
One thing that’s hard to gauge from entry numbers though is the quality of the contestants. And we’re kinda proud to say that the quality of entrants is extremely high. One of the best things about Web 3 is the sheer number of small yet talented creators that are still building their profiles and many of these creators are active on Superteam and other community-focused platforms.
This means should you win a prize, you’re in great company. Don’t think you need to be a blogger yourself to take out a prize though. Even meme lords can pad out their wallets by applying their skills.

Boost Your Odds

You might be reading this and wondering if the entries are high and the quality is good then why bother? But we’re here to say that it is in fact worth throwing out an entry or two to see how you go. Even if you don’t win, simply competing with others will help you refine your craft, increasing your chances of taking out a prize in the future. If you’re going to enter though, here are a few tips to boost your odds of taking out a prize.

  1. Choose your talent: Play to your strengths. If you’re a blogger, write an article or produce content to reflect this. Artists can focus on design or meme competitions. Pick one or two bounties and do them really well rather than shotgunning entries across all categories.
  2. Check the Entry Conditions: The easiest way to trip up. You can design the world’s finest artwork but if it’s it’s outside the scope of the bounty then it’s effectively useless to you. Carefully check the bounty conditions and ensure you’ve met all of them. Some bounties request uploadable copies of artwork or other conditions as well as the usual T&C’s. So check everything to ensure your entry is compliant.
  3. Bounty Size: Bigger isn’t always better. As you’d expect large bounties attract significant attention and as such they’re usually pretty hotly contested. But they aren’t always the best though. Sometimes a bounty that pays out positions 1–5 might be a better option than a single 1st-place lump sum.
  4. Entry Size: Given most people play to their strengths you’ll typically find that blogging and other entries attract the most submissions while art contests and the like can draw smaller numbers despite paying a similar reward. All that aside, depending on activity within the space you’ll also see changes in entrant numbers. It can be useful to check the board to see what’s closing as you might just see a smaller bounty slipping away relatively uncontested.
  5. Consistency: Be in it to win it. As we mentioned above you’ll usually find the quality of entrants to be quite good. So if you win on the first time, you can most certainly call that a good effort. For most people though, consistency is the name of the game. Keep your quality up and the entries flowing and eventually, you’ll probably get the gong.

In Closing

So there you have it. No scammy tokens, no sketchy websites, just you, your talents and a whole bunch of Web 3 companies that want to review your work.
It’s important to touch on one thing about Superteam before we close out though, and that's the concept of bounty-style work. While you can pad out your wallet by winning a few bounties it’s important to point out that the bounty-style concept is exactly what it is. It’s a one-off or semi-regular way to be rewarded for providing quality work.
Unless you’re ultra-talented or live in a place with a relatively low cost of living, it probably isn’t going to replace your 9–5 job and shouldn’t be treated as such. What it can do though, is provide a place for a creator to get established in the Solana community by building exposure around their work.
And that can lead to all sorts of opportunities. If you’re interested in seeing what bounties are on offer, you can find them by searching Superteam Earn.
