During my upbringing I was fortunate to witness my mother’s devotion and care towards plants; I marveled at how she could breathe life to the little fragments of vegetation that she plucked from the side of the road. As I grew older, however, I noticed that this connection with nature diminished as I navigated through life’s complexities.

Art is one way that we can revive this lost bond.
