The BlockPI Structure.
Today's article will discuss the structure that allows the BlockPI network to serve all of its users well while remaining unique. Let’s dive right in, shall we?
So, the BlockPI network consists of 5 core bodies which include;
- The Hypernode.
- The Gateway.
- The Validator.
- The Fisherman.
We are going to look at them one by one to know exactly what they contribute to making the BlockPI network what it is.
The BlockPI Hub
We know how companies have managers who oversee the affairs of the company; that’s similar to what the BlockPI Hub does in the BlockPI network. The BlockPI Hub is a server that takes care of the user system, node rating and authenticator systems, and accounting systems. This is where the user’s registration information, account information, and KYC information are kept. This section of the BlockPI network is a centralized service that manages matters like the computation of revenue and expenses as well as rewards given to users in the network. It also constantly tests network nodes and assigns them scores, which is the origin of the BlockPI Load Balancer. The BlockPI hub is essentially the BlockPI network’s engine. Although its services are currently centralized, the BlockPI team plans to gradually decentralize them by deploying them into smart contracts and leaving a small portion of the core service centralized.
The Hypernode
The hypernode is more or less the brain of the BlockPI network. It does most of the processing work for the network, processing all of the incoming RPC requests and sending out responses to the user. For the Hypernode to completely execute an RPC request, it usually runs with the full node of the target blockchain to ensure efficiency and proper execution. (TO BE CONTINUED IN THE NEXT ARTICLE).
