The DePIN Trend Continues To Dominate
New DePIN projects are on the rise, many of which have been addressed in recent months. As mentioned, I try to remain focused on well-packaged projects with strong fundamentals. This can be a challenging task, especially as a new project has very little credibility or verifiable data associated with it. However, I try to filter the projects I encounter as best as possible.
Many of the projects I have addressed in recent months are browser extensions that run in the background and earn points for future airdrops. It is important to constantly remind readers that DePIN airdrops are unlike typical Crypto airdrops. Most airdrops occur once, very seldom are there recurring airdrops. In the case of DePIN, incentivization is an ongoing endeavor.
A DePIN is a ” decentralized physical infrastructure network” and in order for the nodes of any particular network to remain online, they must be rewarded. Yes, that’s you and me, our devices are the backbone of these infrastructure networks and without us, they don’t exist. The only way nodes remain online is by providing ongoing incentivization.
