seven things you probably need to stop doing in 2022

  1. Downplaying your achievements: learn to bask in your achievements, no matter how small or insignificant you feel society may deem them. waking up to try is an achievement itself worth celebrating.
  2. being a people pleaser: learn to say no. your ability to say no will only drain you. you don't always have to be the gift that keeps giving, at your own expense.
  3. worrying about things you cant control and neglecting the things you can: you should focus on the things you are capable of controlling and leave the rest for later or never.
  4. procrastinating your joy: stop waiting for life to get better before you're happy. there's always another storm to worry about and it's best to be happy now; spark joy intentionally, always.
  5. making your whole life about work: tying your whole existence to your career is laughable. there is so much more to life than your career-places to visit, people to spend time with, interesting stuff to do. live life.
  6. pretending to like people you don't : there's really no gain in pretending to like people you don't fancy. you can't always like everyone; thats weird lol.
  7. not valuing the presence of friends/family in your life: you're quick to cut people off, but slow to have those hard conversations that could help you develop meaningful friendships. stop seeing your friends/ family finish.
