The Aptos Blockchain

A new blockchain called Aptos is being developed to address these issues. In order to overcome these issues, the whitepaper for the system states: "We introduce the Aptos blockchain, designed with scalability, safety, stability, and upgradeability as fundamental principles. Over 350+ developers from around the world have worked on the Aptos blockchain over the course of the last three years. It delivers fresh and original ideas in decentralization, system security, performance, and smart contract architecture. Bringing web3 to the public will be made possible by the confluence of these technologies.

The system's inventors, CEO Mo Shaikh and CTO Avery Ching, were former Meta workers who were in charge of the eventually unsuccessful attempts to develop the Diem blockchain and the Novi crypto wallet, which is related to what we discussed earlier. Although those plans were abandoned, the available technology and abilities are being used for this current endeavor.

We have had the benefit of thinking about these issues alongside some of the greatest engineers in the world for years, as Shaikh wrote in a blog post. We have been able to put our ideas into action, do away with bureaucratic red tape, and establish a completely new network from the bottom up since leaving Meta (previously Facebook). We are now prepared to spread those concepts more widely and to begin delivering the infrastructure we have been developing.
