Good Morning Bulb Family!

Greetings, everyone!

Introduction

Good day, everyone! Hello, and welcome back to another blog post. I hope you're all having a wonderful day. I'm doing well, too.
First and foremost, I apologize for not being able to check all of the notifications from the inbox yesterday. I had a cricket competition last night, so I only managed to review about 25 articles. Even so, I'm happy with that—it's better than nothing.
Now, I can only hope that I'll be able to maintain this routine for a long time.

Review

In today's article, I'll be talking about my most recent cricket competition, which took place last night. Stick with me until the end because I am confident you will enjoy reading this story.

Note: This article is also published on my read.cash account.

Now, I think it's time to delve into today's topic. But before I begin, if you haven't checked out my previous articles, I encourage you to do so.

When is your most productive time of day?

Cricket Tournament: Won or lost?

A few days ago, I received a call from a friend in the city who is also a student at my university. He informed me that he had entered my name in a cricket competition that would be held among our friends from the same city who are enrolled at the same institution but in different departments. Initially, I was nervous because this was my first time meeting all of my coworkers. Before I proceed, let me state that I am a shy and introverted person in real life. I try to avoid meeting new individuals in my daily life. I am generally terrified of crowds and meeting new people.

I was also apprehensive because it had been a long time since I had held a bat, and I was afraid that if I didn't perform well in the match, I would be embarrassed in front of everyone. Still, I was looking forward to the game because cricket was my favorite childhood sport. I used to play it every day, sometimes for the entire day.

Bat/Bowl First?

The competition was held the day before yesterday. I was concerned about going alone, so I texted a friend to see if we could go to the event together. When I arrived, practically every team had already assembled. I greeted everyone; there were six teams in total. Each team's captain had also assigned their team a name. Our team was given the moniker "Stallions" by our captain. Since our captain was on the phone, he delegated full authority to me. The team management created the schedules for all of the teams. Our team was scheduled to play first against a difficult opponent. We were fortunate enough to win the toss and chose to bat first. By the way, that was my decision.

The contest lasted six overs. Our first batsman was dismissed in the first over, and then it was my turn to bat. Since I was new to them, everyone was cheering for me, and the bowler seemed nervous about how I would play. I paused on my first ball, then scored four runs on the next, and hit a single on the third ball. In the next over, I hit three massive sixes and a four. Everyone was clapping and cheering. By the end of our innings, we had set a target of 86 runs in five overs. Our opponents only managed to score 35 runs. We thrashed them and won our first match in this manner.

Results

I'm sorry, I didn't realize my articles were taking up so many pages; therefore, I'm ending my essay here. After an hour, we had a semifinal match with another opponent. In that match, I remained not out, but our entire squad was bowled out, and we only managed to score 40 runs. Unfortunately, we lost the match and were eliminated from the tournament. But don't worry, even if our team didn't win, we made it to the semifinals. By the way, when I woke up this morning after running so much yesterday, I couldn't move my legs. My thighs are in a lot of discomfort because it was the first time in a long time that I ran so much in a competition. Now that my body is stretching out, I'm experiencing a lot of pain all over.

Ending Thoughts

Until we meet again, stay curious, stay connected, and above all, stay true to yourself.
