Patience is underated.

Patience is more than just a virtue, patience is key to life. I witnessed a man who lost his legs and his motorcycle because he couldn't wait for a truck to park in perfectly. It was a horrifying and an unpleasant scene. A few people blamed it on the truck driver but most of the blame was on the injured man. So today, I'll be taking about patience.
What is patience: to me, patience is the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, problems, or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious.
The english dictionary defines patience as the quality of being patient, as the bearing of provocation, annoyance, misfortune, or pain, without complaint, loss of temper, irritation, or the like. an ability or willingness to suppress restlessness or annoyance when confronted with delay: to have patience with a slow learner.
The Holy Bible describes patience as one of those virtues that we all strive to maintain in our everyday lives.

Nobody's perfect and everyone has those days when their patience becomes drained. During these moments when you feel like you just want to scream out of frustration or anger, taking some deep breaths and reading or reciting some of these calming Bible verses, listen to cool music, sleep or get your mind on something that will help you recenter and refocus.
It's natural to feel your frustrations bubble to the surface, but it is advisable to maintain patience, rather than acting out of impatience.

Importance of Patience
-Patience makes it easier to live because it reduces negative emotions like stress, anger or frustration. When one is patient, one is calmer and more open to change.
- Patience enables us to analyse things and situations beyond their face value. The resourcefulness, calm and self-control behaviour of patient people can make them popular. It also gives them inner peace and ability to keep smiling despite challenges.
- Patience plays an important role in our mental health. If we're patient in life, we can learn to stay in control of our emotions and avoid negative feelings such as anger, frustration and restlessness.

Everyone is likely to become impatient on occasions. But there may be serious consequences when bouts of impatience are an everyday occurrence.
Health risks: For one thing, impatience is linked to frustration, irritation, and even anger. Such emotions can raise our stress level, which in turn can harm our health.
Poor judgment: Impatience will cost you. It can cost you money, friendships, pain and suffering or any number of consequences simply because impatience is often followed by bad decisions.
Loss of friends: Impatience can damage our ability to communicate. When a person does not have the patience to engage in meaningful conversation, he tends to speak without thinking. He may also get annoyed when others speak. Such a person does not have the patience to wait for others to get to the point of what they are saying. So the impatient listener may tend to rush others into finishing their sentences by putting words in their mouth or may try to find some other way to hurry the conversation. This can cost and mar any relationship or friendship built.
Finally, it is almost impossible to exaggerate the importance of patience in life and patience should be realized by every individual. Patience in life can make one reach out for his or her star. With patience you can avoid making hasty decisions. Life is not about living in the future or in the past. Life is about accepting the present moment.
