What if I just want to Live a 9-5 Life?

It is about value, not about money!
I will be honest with you, I have been put under a lot of pressure by the motivational videos I watch on social media, especially on TikTok.
Most of these videos are about smart and cunning individuals who wake up earlier than birds, make up their bed, take a cold shower, read a book, start their fancy computers, make money online, have fancy breakfasts, workout, spend time with friends and then get ready for bed at 9:00 PM sharp for deep sleep.
On a side note, I mean I can’t even get out of my bed without wrapping the blanket around me, how would I ever be able to take a cold shower in the morning?
Anyways, let us get back to the main point.
To these people, words like ‘job’ or ‘employment’ are similar in meaning to the word ‘slavery’. They are self-made entrepreneurs who make millions of dollars both in active and passive incomes. They look highly focused on their goals and want to help the world get out of poverty by sharing their secrets for free on TikTok. Can you imagine?
Their videos were honestly putting a lot of pressure on me. Most of these guys are younger than me and looking at these successful young people, I just could not take the pressure of not being like them.
The pressure was very real. So, I tried their secrets. I was finally ready to become a millionaire entrepreneur and get into the club with the young rich kids of TikTok.
After trying secret after secret, I found out that they do not seem to work for me as well as they have worked for their revealers. But why?
I don’t know honestly, sometimes the secrets I tried would turn out to be some useless money-making scheme and sometimes they were just too complicated to pursue.
After several attempts, I finally decided to quit pursuing things that are shown to be too easy by these young TikTok stars. Instead, I decided to find value in my 9 to 5 job. After all, it is value that shapes our societies not money.
If you think about it, working at a 9 to 5 job does not mean you are a slave. I mean everyone is a slave to money, it does not matter if you are a billionaire or a 9 to 5 employee, you both work for the money. So, you both are slaves.
But here is what I think about a 9 to 5 job:
You work to help your society by keeping your organization in the business, so you do not just work for the money,
You share your work experience with your subordinates, so you transfer knowledge.
You make it possible for companies to achieve insane and impossible tasks, so you make history.
Need I say more?
I think it is time for us to accept that our societies have been able to achieve impossible feats only because of people who sincerely put their hearts and souls into their 9 to 5 jobs.
Here is to everyone who worked at NASA to put a person on the moon!
Here is to everyone who works day and night to save lives as doctors!
Here is to everyone who helps their economies by working sincerely as 9 to 5 employees.
It took me a while to free myself from all of these TikTok wanna-be millionaires and understand the true value of my 9 to 5 work. And, I hope you also find your job’s value.
