Despite continuous failures, Sanders did not stop trying. At the age of 40, he came to Corbin, Kentucky and opened a service station.
The income received from the service station was not enough.
So, with the aim of increasing his income, he put a table and some chairs in the room behind the service station.
Started preparing and feeding pan-fried chicken, ham, steak and other food items to the drivers and passengers passing there.
He converted this service station into a restaurant where he sold his chicken dishes.

Sanders did not let the barrier of age become a hindrance to his success and he achieved success at the age of 65.
His restaurant was doing well. A big reason for his restaurant's success was that it was located on the way to Florida.
Due to which the passengers passing on that route would notice his restaurant and they would turn to him. But in the 1950s, an unexpected problem befell him.
In the beginning of 1950, due to this, the business of Senders had to suffer a lot due to the highway being built there.
The check given by the government was very small. But Sanders was still not ready to sit still.
He had full confidence in his chicken recipe and with this confidence he set out to market it, during which he met the owners of different restaurants where he was rejected.
After more than 1000 attempts, finally in 1952 he convinced a person named Pete Harman to make him his partner. He patented his fried chicken recipe and opened the first restaurant in Salt Lake City in 1952.
