Oleksandr Usyk, a warrior from Ukraine, defeated Tyson Fury to become the first heavyweight world champion to be crowned unchallenged since Lennox Lewis twenty-five years prior.

Fury believed he won the fight

Despite being seven inches shorter and three stone lighter than Britain's Gypsy King, Usyk proved that in contrast to the oldest boxing proverb, a good little 'un can overcome a good big 'one. particularly considering that the smaller man has a heart the size of Usyk's.

The fight had been close and exciting before Usyk's devastating left hook at the end of the ninth round turned Fury's knees to custard and forced him to face a standing count.
It should have been a unanimous ruling, but the judges granted it to Usyk based on a split vote.
It was Fury's first loss in thirty-six professional fights. He started out showboating, then took control, but Usyk's incredible counterattack eventually pummeled him almost to surrender.
Fury subsequently gives up his WBC title to Usyk; but, given the quality of their fight, there will be great interest in their planned rematch later this year.
Although Riyadh is the complete opposite of Las Vegas, many British people traveled to the Middle East for a dry weekend since it is currently the uncontested fight capital of the globe.
There was much of the same build-up to the game, headbutting, argy-bargy, trash-talking, and thanking God, wherever you went.

Millions of tributes were also given to "His Excellency Turki Alalshikh," the main man behind the Saudification of top boxing through sportswashing.
Should a country with no history and little interest in sports have hosted such a historic bout?
Most likely not. The counterargument is that these competitions for elite unity might never take place in the absence of the absurd sums of money the Saudis are prepared to spend on fighters.
There has been much discussion about Fury's abilities declining.
This fight was postponed from its planned February date due to a major cut suffered during a training session, which happened after the fighter's controversial victory against UFC competitor Francis Ngannou late in the previous year.
However, Fury has faced far more serious doubts in the past after dethroning Wladimir Klitschko in 2015. His physical and mental health plummeted, and he failed a drug test.
For his most severe tests, he had never been less than keen.
With his two wins against Anthony Joshua plus his triumphs over Tony Bellew, Derek Chisora, and Daniel Dubois, Usyk has established himself as a professional Brit-slayer in recent years.

For all the love for resurgent AJ... these two are head, shoulders and fists ahead of everyone else According to Wally Downes Jr., OLEKSANDR USYK is the rightfully recognized heavyweight champion of the globe.

Great big guns don't always triumph against great littluns, especially when David is carrying the weight of a besieged nation and can hit every blow with his fellow countrymen.
Usyk performed as usual; he outworked his larger and heavier opponent while moving well and counterpunching.
He finds a way to turn every physical setback to his advantage.
However, Fury is getting up in round nine—what the hell is that about?
Why is a father of eight going to the well like someone who has three best-selling books, £300 million in the bank, and a Netflix series?

Putin's army is not being repelled by Britain, and Morecambe is not under occupation.
Therefore, why doesn't the 35-year-old just remain down when his senses are all over the place, the canvas is calling to him, and he is willing to bounce about all the ropes like a drunk in an attempt to avoid falling, eventually collapsing into a corner?

Both his millions and the right to submit have been earned by him.
For us mortals, it is incomprehensible how someone with a damaged nose and a collapsing ego could climb off that deck without any courage, guts, or bloodlust.
By the time you read this, Fury's father will have tarnished his sense of decency, as he claimed to have won the fight but was too honorable to label it as robbery or corruption.
There will be an amazing rematch.
Despite our affection for a rejuvenated Anthony Joshua, who witnessed that momentous occasion from ringside, these two completely different individuals are heads, shoulders, fists, hearts, and minds ahead of everyone else.
The first two are there, followed by a gap and the last portion.
However, this battle will always be the turning point in his career. In his 22nd professional bout, the former unified world cruiserweight champion was vying to become the undisputed big-boy division king.

Prominent figures from Saudi Arabia, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, and Steven Gerrard, were present, along with several legendary fighters, including Joshua, Lewis, Klitschko, and Evander Holyfield—the man he had vanquished in 1999 to become the undisputed champion.
