G'day political tragics, meme warriors, and Bulb community legends!

Another week down, another set of Engage2Earn missions completed (or not quite!). We're now heading into Week 4, but first, let's dissect the results from Week 3 and see how our collective efforts stacked up against the previous week's promising performance.

For anyone just tuning in, Engage2Earn is the Auspol project's way of getting us all working together. We post missions on our Bulb profile targeting specific online content; the community jumps in to boost it (likes, views, etc.); and if we hit the set goals in time, $AUSPOL tokens get added to a weekly reward pool, shared amongst our active Bulb followers. It’s about making a dent in the often-dodgy online political discourse and earning a bit of crypto while we're at it.

Need the full playbook? All the rules, reward details, and the 'why' behind it are in our main guide:

Week 3 Mission Breakdown: What Went Down?

Four missions went [LIVE] in Week 3, covering a mix of local MP boosts and thematic pushes. Here’s the final score on each, based on the results data:

Mission: Engage2Earn: In Julian Bruce Trusts

Mission: Engage2Earn: Ali can beat Dutton in Dickson

  • Status: SUCCESS!
  • Outcome: Now this is more like it! Focusing on Ali France, Labor's candidate taking on Peter Dutton in Dickson, this mission struck a chord. The Facebook goal was absolutely smashed (148%!), while Instagram (45%) and X (81%) fell short. However, the mission parameters must have allowed for partial success based on the strong Facebook result, as this one was declared a WIN, unlocking 11 Million $AUSPOL for the weekly pool! Fair play to everyone who piled in on Facebook!

Mission: Engage2Earn: Mcewan MAGA Takeout

Mission: Engage2Earn: Help Meryl help koalas

The Week 3 Scoreboard: A Reality Check

Let's tally the numbers for Week 3:

Week 2 Flashback & The Comparison: What Gives?

Now, let's cast our minds back to Week 2. How does this week compare?

  • Week 2 Recap: Week 2 saw 4 missions completed, with 2 successes ("Dutton = MAGA", "Meryl Swanson boost!").
  • Week 2 Success Rate: 50% (2 out of 4)
  • Week 2 Unlocked $AUSPOL: 35 Million $AUSPOL

(You can find the full Week 2 analysis here: https://www.bulbapp.io/p/895b4b2b-bcca-44d5-8f8c-f40404c74796/engage2earn-results-week-2-shows-promise-but-can-we-keep-it-up)

The Showdown: Week 3 vs Week 2

Well, there's no way to sugarcoat it – Week 3 was a significant step backward compared to Week 2.

  • Success Rate: Dropped sharply from 50% down to just 25%.
  • Rewards Unlocked: Plummeted from 35 Million $AUSPOL in Week 2 to only 11 Million $AUSPOL in Week 3.

It's a bit disappointing after the promising signs of improvement we saw last week. Huge congrats to everyone who contributed to the successful "Ali can beat Dutton" mission – banking 11 Million tokens is still a win! But overall, the trend went the wrong way.

Reflections on the Dip: Why the Slide?

What could be behind the Week 3 slump?

  • Mission Difficulty? Were the engagement targets tougher this week? Or perhaps the chosen content wasn't as compelling or easy to engage with?
  • Participation Fatigue? Are people getting tired? It takes consistent effort week after week. Maybe we need to find ways to keep motivation high.
  • Platform Focus? We saw big successes on X and Facebook in previous weeks. Maybe the platform mix or goals for Week 3 just didn't align with where the community's active engagement is strongest?
  • Topic Resonance? While "Ali can beat Dutton" clearly resonated, perhaps the other topics (local MP boosts, koalas again, McEwen MAGA) didn't capture enough immediate interest to drive coordinated action?
  • Just Bad Luck? Sometimes things just don't fire. It happens.

Whatever the reason, it’s a timely reminder that success isn't guaranteed. It requires consistent, widespread participation from the community. We can't rely on just a few people to carry the load.

Election Alert: Pre-Poll Voting Has BEGUN!

Alright team, this is where things get serious. Forget the weekly results for a second and focus on the bigger picture. The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) has confirmed that early (pre-poll) voting for the 2025 federal election started on Tuesday, April 22nd.

AEC Voting Summary: Early voting for the May 3rd election began April 22nd, running until May 2nd at hundreds of centres nationwide (closed ANZAC Day). With potentially half of all Aussies voting early, this period is critical for final campaign pushes and influencing undecided voters.

This means people are voting RIGHT NOW. The election isn't just looming; it's actively happening! What happens online in the next week or so is absolutely crucial. The information (and disinformation) voters see now directly influences their choices as they head to the booths or fill out their postal votes.

Week 4 Kicks Off NOW! (April 26th, 2025) - Urgency Level: HIGH!

There's absolutely no time to waste feeling down about the Week 3 results. Week 4 of Auspol Engage2Earn starts TODAY, Saturday, April 26th, 2025, slap bang in the middle of the crucial pre-poll voting period!

The stakes just got higher. Our Engage2Earn missions for Week 4 aren't just about boosting content anymore; they're about actively participating in the democratic process during the peak voting window. We need to be amplifying truth, countering lies, and supporting positive campaigning while people are making their final decisions.
No Sleep 'til Polling Day! Keep the MAGA Chaos Out!
This is the pointy end, folks. The final week(s) before election day (May 3rd) are when the online noise hits fever pitch. It’s when the desperate spin gets spun, when the bots go into overdrive, and when attempts to import toxic, MAGA-style chaos and division will be at their peak.
We cannot afford complacency. We need to be vigilant, active, and coordinated. Engage2Earn gives us a framework to do just that. Let's use it effectively in Week 4. Let's push back against the negativity and make sure Australian values of fairness, decency, and facts prevail online.

Your Week 4 Call to Action! Let's Lift!

Okay team, Week 3 was a stumble, but Week 4 is where it counts more than ever. We need all hands on deck!

  1. Follow the Auspol Profile on Bulb: Essential! Prioritise [LIVE] Missions: Check the feed often. With voting underway, these missions are time-critical.
  2. Maximum Participation: Don't sit on the sidelines! Every single action helps, especially now. Let's smash those targets!
  3. Rally the Troops: Get your mates, family, anyone who cares about this election involved. Share the missions, explain why it matters NOW. More people = real impact.
  4. Remember the Rules: Refresher via the Engage2Earn guide: https://www.bulbapp.io/p/98197cd2-5ec4-4367-bf9d-21c3bdac816f/paid-in-auspol-your-guide-to-the-engage2earn-system

Let's put the Week 3 dip behind us, learn from it, and bring maximum energy to Week 4. People are voting – let's make sure the online space reflects the best of Australia, not the worst of imported political sludge. Let's get it done!
