What is Mina Protocol?

It is a minimal blockchain that can efficiently run decentralized applications, i.e. dapps. So why do we call it minimal? We're only talking about 22 kb. Considering that other blockchains reach 300 GB on average, for example, for Bitcoin, this is 350 GB, but Mina is only 22 KB and they say that it will always remain 22 KB.There is zk-SNARK technology behind this.

ZK-SNARK Technology

The "ZK" at the beginning means Zero-Knowledge. Snark stands for short, non-interactive information arguments.

How do they use this technology

When verifying in Bitcoin, all blocks are checked until the first block, and this is a very long and laborious process.However, with this technology, evidence is obtained by looking at only one or two blocks, regardless of all blocks, and the block is completed.

In this way, processes that would take a long time are completed in a much shorter time. and it only holds the 22 KB we mentioned at the beginning.

First Application - ''njord''

This is one of the grant programs of mina protocol. This further scales the mina protocol. What is meant by scaling? It scales both the user experience and our experience. It can also scale the network it is in.

It does this by offering faster transactions and reducing confirmation time from minutes to seconds, minimizes transaction confirmations, i.e. a typical layer-2 The purpose of introducing this is that it will be the token of "njord" and will be airdropped, so the sooner we recognize it, the more profit we will be able to make.

2- Application ''Anomix Network''

It is a layer-2 in Anomix. This application set out and was funded to scale mina.

4- Application ''Zeko''

There is not much information about zeko right now, but according to the information I researched, it will be layer-2. In other words, it will be a layer-2 project that offers privacy on mina and zkApps.

How will the project be?
For example, let's assume that we have developed a decentralized exchange, but you want that decentralized exchange not to be used by people under the age of 18, that is, you want to not use it legally, you will do this through zeko.

You will create and build your project through "zeko layer 2". You will add privacy to certain parts of the project, that is, it will be enabled with privacy.

Other parts will be public, that is, anyone can see and use it, but the parts you want will remain hidden on the application. ''zeko'' is privacy-focused layer 2.
