The Importance Of Time Management: Maximizing Efficiency And Success
Time is the key to success. The cycle of time is moving at its own pace or rather it is running away. Often here and there, we hear from someone or the other that we don't have time to do what. In reality, we are unable to keep pace with the ever-moving time and fall behind. Despite having a valuable asset like time, we always cry about its shortage because we spend this precious time without thinking.
" Time and tide wait for none "
Wasting time is the biggest enemy in the path of development. Time once lost never comes back. Our precious present gradually becomes a ghost which never comes back. There is a true saying that the past and the words spoken can never come back. Kabir Das ji has said that;
" If you do it yesterday, do it today, if you do it today, do it now "
It is true friends, no work should be postponed till tomorrow because postponing today's work till tomorrow and tomorrow's work till the day after tomorrow will result in more work. Stale work will become as unpleasant as stale food. Precious money like time cannot be kept like gold and silver because time is moving. We have rights over it only when we use it properly, otherwise it gets destroyed. The use of time is more important than the use of money because the well-being of all of us depends on it.
according to chanakya;
" The person who does not take care of time in life is bound to face failure and regrets "
We often do not understand the importance of time as it is a precious and non-returnable element. But those who understand its importance always remain present on the world stage in history.
βIshwarchandra Vidyasagar was very punctual. When he went to college, shopkeepers on the road would watch him adjust their watches.β
βGalileo used to sell medicine. βBy taking out some time from that, he made many scientific inventions.β
βDuring the busy time of family life, Harriet Witcher Stowe wrote the incendiary book against slavery, βUncle Tom's Cottageβ, which is still praised as an unmatched creation. βWhat is meant to say is that every developing And progressive people have one thing in common - good use of time.
Time management can be clearly understood by nature. The cycle of time is regular in nature. Day and night, seasons come and go on time. If there is any irregularity anywhere then nature also teaches us the lesson of destruction. Many times, if time is ignored, victory turns into defeat. Napoleon defeated Austria because the soldiers there delayed by five minutes, but within a few minutes Napoleon was captured because one of his generals arrived late. The biggest reason for Napoleon's defeat in the Battle of Waterloo was disregard for time. It is said that lost wealth can still be earned. Forgotten knowledge can be recovered but lost time cannot be brought back, only regrets remain.
The womb of time is filled with an inexhaustible store of Lakshmi, but only those who use it properly can attain it. The citizens of Japan do the same, regularly building a new toy or machine from small machines or toy parts when they have free time from their professional work. They earn extra money from this work. The biggest reason for their happiness is proper utilization of time.
Capable Guru Swami Ramdas used to say that;
" An ever-present symptom
Let me go for a moment "
That is, βThe man who makes good use of his time and does not waste even a single moment, is very fortunate.β
Time is a stepping stone to reach the highest peak. The palace of life is built with the bricks of time, hours and minutes. Nature has not made anyone rich or poor, it has distributed its precious wealth i.e. 24 hours equally to everyone. No matter how hardworking a person is, his labor goes waste if he does not work on time. Crops that are not harvested on time are destroyed. Seed sown untimely goes waste. Every moment of life brings the possibility of a brighter future. Who knows, the moment which we are wasting considering it useless may turn out to be a moment of good luck and success for us. The sky of the coming moment is like safflower, one should drench oneself with its fragrance.
Franklin has said;
Do not waste time, because life is made up of time.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that time and the waves of the ocean wait for no one. It is our duty to utilize our time fully.
