For Merlin’s seal participants: How to Claim $VOYA Airdrop

The MerlinSwap platform is introducing its inaugural airdrop on the Merlin chain, offering users an exclusive opportunity to claim $VOYA tokens. This comprehensive guide is designed to walk first-time users through the process of claiming and trading $VOYA tokens, ensuring a seamless experience. Whether you possess BTC gas on Layer 2 or need to bridge BTC to participate, this tutorial covers all necessary steps, including the manual adjustment of gas fees to optimize your transactions.

Claiming Your $VOYA Airdrop on MerlinSwap

The process to claim your $VOYA airdrop tokens is straightforward and accessible to both users with BTC gas on Layer 2 and those needing to bridge BTC from other networks. Follow these steps to ensure you don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity before the deadline on February 23, 3:00 AM UTC.

For Users with BTC Gas on L2:

1. Visit the Airdrop Page: Start by navigating to MerlinSwap’s official airdrop page.
2. Connect Your Wallet: MerlinSwap supports both Unisat and EVM-compatible wallets. Click to connect yours.
3. Adjust Gas Fees: Due to limitations with EVM wallets in accurately measuring on-chain gas, a manual adjustment is necessary. Typically, the gas price defaults to around 0.6 gwei. By manually adjusting it to 0.05–0.07 gwei, you can significantly reduce the claim fee to about 0.3–0.5u per transaction.
— To adjust, click on the transaction fee in the pop-up signature page and select manual adjustment. Then, lower the fuel price (gwei) accordingly.
4. Complete the Claim: After adjusting the gas fee, complete the signature process to claim your tokens. If they don’t appear in your wallet, add the token using the contract address: 0x480E158395cC5b41e5584347c495584cA2cAf78d by navigating to the “Add Custom Token” section of your wallet.

For Users Without BTC Gas:

1. Bridge BTC: If you’re starting without BTC gas on Merlin, bridge BTC by visiting Merlin’s Bridge. A recommended amount is 0.0003BTC (about 15u) to cover gas and potential selling fees.
— During Merlin’s Bridge beta phase, the maximum you can bridge per transaction is 0.02BTC.
— After entering the BTC amount, click “Transfer” and sign. The funds should arrive after about four blockchain confirmations, typically within 10 minutes.
2. Claim Your $VOYA Tokens: With your BTC bridged, visit MerlinSwap to claim your $VOYA tokens.

Trading $VOYA Tokens on MerlinSwap

Once you’ve claimed your $VOYA tokens, you might be interested in trading them. Here’s how:
