FLARE Network - blockchain for data and AI
Flare Network to Layer 1 blockchain, with added data acquisition functionality. Allowing to integrate decentralized data from another blockchains and internet. Flare is based on EVM and you can write smart contracts on it in the Solidity language.
Flare has a built-in oracle blockchain called Flare Time Series Oracle (FTSO). This allows to provide highly decentralized and accurate date that can be used in Dapps. Cryptocurrency price data is now being provided. In the future, all sorts of data will be provided, such as the weather, the number of transactions on given blockchains, sports results, stock prices. Flare combines web2 and web3. One of the FTSO providers is Google Cloud. Currently, it is possible to deliver 1000 data feeds every 2-3 seconds. This allows for the flow of a huge amount of data.
Unlike other oracles such as Chainlink. The data provided to Flare Network does not come from a single source but is decentralized. Oracle is embedded and secured by the blockchain itself resistant to vulnerability. Such a solution allows to create a new kind of Dapps allowing to monetize the date in a way not known before.
Access to a huge amount of data and its accuracy provided by the decentralized FTSO system will allow building accurate AI models. A basic AI training model costs about 100M, so the market for high quality data is enormous. The data provided by Flare will help create a safer and more accurate artificial intelligence.
Flare is much more than oracle in this article I only touched on the FTSO aspect. Stay tuned for my articles in which I will describe Flare Network.
