England vs Belgium: Preview, predictions and lineups
England take on Belgium in friendly at Wembley after being beaten by Brazil at weekend
Belgium held by Ireland in first March fixture
Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate expected to make changes to starting XI
By James Cormack
3:00 AM GMT
England will be aiming to bounce back from their defeat to Brazil on Saturday when they host Belgium in their second March friendly on Tuesday night.
The Three Lions struggled on home soil at the weekend as they succumbed to their first loss under the Wembley arch since 2020. Gareth Southgate's side struggled to penetrate an inexperienced Brazil side and surrendered far too much space to their excellent front three.
Given the discourse surrounding the manager, this feels like a big game for Southgate ahead of Euro 2024.
Belgium, meanwhile, also disappointed at the weekend as they played out a stalemate with Ireland. The Red Devils have generally impressed under Domenico Tedesco as they head into a post-Golden Generation era. However, they were profligate in Dublin and are without a couple of core figures for this friendly.
Here's 90min's preview for England's clash against Belgium on Tuesday night.

England team news
Harry Kane

The worst injury crisis of Southgate's tenure has worsened since the weekend. Harry Kane, Harry Maguire and Kyle Walker have all left the squad and will not feature on Tuesday night.
Bukayo Saka also withdrew before Saturday's defeat to Brazil.
Cole Palmer was absent from the squad at the weekend but could return to the fold against Belgium. Southgate will be expected to make several changes to his starting XI, with the likes of Marcus Rashford, Jarrod Bowen, James Maddison and Ivan Toney in line for starts.
England predicted lineup vs Belgium
England predicted lineup vs Belgium (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Konsa, Stones, Dunk, Gomez; Rice, Bellingham; Bowen, Maddison, Rashford; Toney.
Belgium team news
Belgium are also without a couple of heavy hitters on Tuesday night. Kevin De Bruyne was not called up for their March fixtures, with Tedesco also without Romelu Lukaku due to a groin strain.
An illness means Nottingham Forest midfielder Orel Mangala is a doubt for the upcoming friendly, while defender Arthur Theatre is struggling with a thigh injury.
Premier League stars Amadou Onana and Jeremy Doku could come into the team having appeared off the bench on Saturday.
Belgium predicted lineup vs England
Belgium predicted lineup vs England (4-3-3): Kaminski; Meunier, De Winter, Faes, Castagne; Onana, Tielemans, Vermeeren; Bakayoko, Trossard, Doku.
England vs Belgium score prediction
England's struggles against top footballing nations continued at the weekend, with Southgate's bolder approach out of possession failing to pay dividends.
It wouldn't be a surprise, given the absence of key personnel, for the hosts to adopt a more cautious game plan without the ball and aim to hit the visitors in transition.
This doesn't have the makings of a classic with both teams without key men and it could be decided by an error at either end of the pitch. Wout Faes is surely more likely to make the blunder than John Stones.
Prediction: England 1-0 Belgium

Germany vs Netherlands: Preview, predictions and lineups
Longtime rivals Germany and the Netherlands meet for the 46th time on Tuesday night
Rivalry ignited by 1974 World Cup final
Both teams secured victories to start March break
By James Cormack

Two longtime international rivals reconvene for a friendly on Tuesday night when Germany take on the Netherlands.
A fierce 20th-century duel with distinct World War Two undertones, Germany vs Netherlands is nowhere near as bitter as it once was. The emotional connection from earlier fixtures has dissipated, but the two nations are still major players on the global stage.
The Germans head into Tuesday's bout off the back of their most impressive result and performance of the Julian Nagelsmann era thus far. Florian Wirtz's stunning early strike set the tone in a 2-0 win over France. Germany have sunk to their lowest world ranking since 2006 after a dreadful 2023, but another positive result on Tuesday will doubtlessly lead to a considerable spike in optimism ahead of Euro 2024.
The Netherlands put Scotland to the sword in their previous outing to extend their winning run to four games since October last year. Their qualifying campaign for the Euros was far from imperious, but the Dutch certainly have the sturdiness and creative guile to enjoy a prosperous summer in Germany.
Here's 90min's preview of Tuesday night's friendly.

Germany team news
Toni Kroos

Nagelsmann struck a fine balance with his starting XI on Saturday, but the former Bayern Munich manager is set to make changes to his team for this fixture.
David Raum, Max Beier and Pascal Gross are among the contenders to earn starts against the Dutch.
Toni Kroos, who starred on his return to the national team against France, could keep his place and partner Gross in the midfield pivot.
Germany predicted lineup vs Netherlands
Germany predicted lineup vs Netherlands (4-2-2-2): Ter Stegen; Kimmich, Rudiger, Tah, Raum; Kroos, Gross; Gundogan, Wirtz; Havertz, Beier.
Netherlands team news
Ronald Koeman has a deep squad at his disposal and he'll be keen to rotate from Friday night's thumping of Scotland.
Brighton's Bart Verbruggen and Bayern's Matthijs de Ligt were unused subs last time out but could come into the team on Tuesday. Teun Koopmeiners is also in contention for a start in midfield, as is the red-hot Donyell Malen.
Netherlands predicted lineup vs Germany
Netherlands predicted lineup vs Germany (4-3-3): Verbruggen; Dumfries, De Ligt, Van Dijk, Ake; Koopmeiners, Reijnders, Simons; Malen, Depay, Gakpo.
Germany vs Netherlands score prediction
Nagelsmann's coaching came to the fore for Germany on Saturday and they'll be full of confidence heading into Tuesday's game. Kroos' return is huge and Nagelsmann's winger-less approach allows Germany's star playmakers to shine.
The Netherlands, however, represent a stern test given their defensive talent. They've kept four clean sheets on the spin and are also blessed with the speed on the counter-attack to hurt DFB-Team.
There's often little to separate these two sides, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see the pair share the spoils once again in Frankfurt.
Prediction: Germany 1-1 Netherlands
