Launchpads or Airdrops?
Today, I will tell you about 2 methods, which are the general way of releasing crypto assets that have not yet been released to the market, as much as I can. One of these is launchpads, the other is airdrops, which are more complex and difficult than launchpads, but are a method with high returns and low cost.
LAUNCHPAD
A launchpad is a platform used to introduce and distribute tokens of new crypto projects. These platforms organize token sales such as ICO (Initial Coin Offering) or IDO (Initial DEX Offering).
Investor Participation
Launchpads often offer investors the opportunity to participate in exclusive token sales. Investors can typically acquire tokens at discounted prices before the project officially launches.
Project Selection
Launchpads usually go through a rigorous review process to select projects with a track record of success and promising futures. This provides investors with a criterion for investing in reliable projects.
Risks
It is important to evaluate and research projects before investing, but the projects selected on launchpads are generally considered to be lower-risk.
AIRDROPS
Airdrop is the free distribution of tokens by crypto projects, typically done to promote the project and build a community.
Investor Participation
Airdrops usually do not require any previous investment and are open to everyone. Participants often acquire free tokens by fulfilling certain conditions (e.g., following on social media, subscribing to newsletters, or performing specific transactions).
Project Selection
Airdrops have a less stringent project selection process. Therefore, it is important for everyone receiving an airdrop to evaluate and research the project.
Risks
Airdrops are generally free, so there is no financial risk involved. However, the value and success of the project may be subject to specific conditions.
Differences
- While launchpads are often used to raise some funds from investors, airdrops typically focus on distributing free tokens for project promotion and community building.
- Launchpads usually have a more rigorous project selection process, providing investors access to more reliable projects. Airdrops, on the other hand, appeal to a broader participant base.
- Launchpads often offer exclusive token sales to investors, allowing them to purchase tokens at discounted prices. Airdrops are generally open to anyone who fulfills specific conditions.
Both methods provide different strategies for introducing and distributing projects in the cryptocurrency world, but their preference depends on the risk tolerance and goals of investors.
