About Merkle Trade

Merkle Trade is a decentralized trading platform that offers crypto, forex and commodities trading with leverage up to 1,000x, along with access to advanced and user-centric trading features.
Our aim is to offer a highly engaging and enjoyable trading experience for everyone. Unlike most of the perp DEXs out there, we set out to build trading experience for everyone, not just for highly skilled traders or whales.
Ultimately, our end goal is to building Merkle Trade into the biggest decentralized hub for leveraged trading.

How It Works

• Passive MM: Unlike most exchanges, there is no order book on Merkle Trade. Instead, the Merkle LP acts as the counter-party to every trade, as it receives the collateral when traders take loss and pays out the profit on the closed trades with positive PnL.

• Synthetic Trading: Trades are always denominated and settled using a stablecoin regardless of the asset being traded, allowing any asset with a reliable price feed to be listed and traded on the protocol.

Q3 2023

Private mainnet launch: All the early supporters and adopters will be whitelisted to engage in trading on Merkle trade. Private mainnet beta will have certain limitations such as collateral size, max PnL possible, etc. and will be run to test the robustness of the protocol in production and also gain valuable feedback from our community.
Trading contest v1: There will be a series of trading contests and they’re going to be something special. These competitions are set to redefine the game, offering an exciting blend of fierce competition, high entertainment, and generous rewards. Prepare to be amazed!
Smart contract audits: The smart contracts get audited by two reputable auditors that have experience working with the Move language and Aptos projects. On top of that, a considerable bug bounty is planned to be announced after the audits.

Q4 2023

Mainnet launch: The day X for the whole Merkle Trade community. Mainnet will be rolled out in several stages to ensure the security of our users and that everything works as expected.
Social trading features - leaderboard, profile, connecting social network accounts, etc: A set of social trading features will be incorporated to make leverage trading even more engaging.
One-click trade (EVM wallets): Forget about spending time adjusting the trade, go long or short with max leverage if you want with just one-click. One of the most requested features by our community.
Referral program launch: A referral/affiliate program will be released soon after the mainnet launch to foster the growth of the platform.
New trading pairs: Mid-cap crypto pairs and indices will be added for trading on Merkle Trade.
Onboarding improvements: We will refine the overall onboarding process so users can effortlessly transfer their funds to the exchange and carry out seamless trading.
Gamification V2: Allowing people to open their loot boxes and utilise the items to boost trading experience.

Q1 2024

MKL token TGE: MKL token is released and liquidity pools are established on AMMs. Once the MKL token is launched, the users will have an opportunity to stake it immediately after receiving it. Staked MKL will obtain a share of the protocol generated fees.
DAO launch: MKL stakers participate in the protocol governance, deciding the major protocol parameters, trading pair options, assets, etc.
Cross-margin trading: Platform-wide margin accounts will be enabled when trading with leverage. Meaning your collateral is no longer tied to a single trade but can be used for multiple positions.
Copy trading: A fully on-chain, novel copy trading feature will be implemented on the platform. This feature will not only help newcomers learn the ropes quickly but also allow experienced traders to leverage their skills and earn rewards and recognition within the community.
