The Miracle of Benevolence: Uniting Humanity for a Better World.
‘Whatsoever thou resolvest to do, do it quickly. Defer not till the evening what the morning may accomplish’…. Unto thee I grant.
Making others feeling loved is benevolence
Benevolence embraces everything good. Soul is a happy being because it has the power of benevolence. It is Love that powers benevolence. A sound advice towards sustaining benevolence on earth is ‘at least do not do harm if you do not have benevolence in your own being’. Benevolence is harmony in action and harmony is sustained by benevolence; both are interlaced! Violence, greed, hatred, lust, anger, vanity, attachment, destructive sentiments such as racism and pernicious propaganda do not promote benevolence.
We are a wise generation and when we include benevolence in our day to day activities, we become a powerfully benevolent society united by the highest ideals.
Glare of benevolence
Benevolence is a grotesque picture recognized only by vibrant hearts. It has a radiant aura that pulls any heart with lofty intentions. If you are the sensitive type, you would already sense the glaring pain from humanity’s bleeding heart.
A Glimpse into the world’s panorama
Take a look at world events: a starving skeleton-like child in the wispy hubs of Africa; horrendous shootings in public places that have claimed many lives across the globe; houses being washed away by floods; homeless beings sleeping on the unsightly streets; domestic violence and deaths; Suicides; weapon armaments; massive slaughters of animals by those who should protect them and a thousand more of such frightening images pocking fists into our eyes. We are living in wanton fear; the age of ignorance is still with us.
Our choices and the miracle of benevolence
Some global events mock our infinite compassion, creating a gory impression of ‘beasts at work'. As human beings, the supreme creator has bestowed in us two polarities with which we can use the neutral power of intelligence. When we use this musky power for the good of humanity, we prove that we are the vanguard for benevolence. If we turn out that we use it for destruction, we belong to the kingdom of evil.
Benevolence is a purple box containing a million jewels that can light the dark corners of our earth. If each one of us picks one of these gems from this box and use it in our various communities, we shall all witness a reverberating surge of miracles in a short time.
How to cultivate Benevolence.
You are going to cultivate benevolence and reap the benefits for yourself and others. You can do this in one of the several ways listed below:
- Love yourself. Love your Neighbor.
- Be compassionate to strangers and sentient beings.
- Read books with spirit, mind and body themes.
- Get involve in a spiritual development programme.
- Be Eco-friendly. Eat healthily
- Do a kindly act each day: service liberates
- Be tolerant. Be patient
- Tame your excesses: it is a key to mastery of life.
- Avoid Alcohol, cigarettes and drugs for a good healthy body and mind.
- Exercise regularly to keep fit and happy.
- Be judicious. Be slow to anger
- Embraces impermanence and change.
- Sense the interconnectivity and oneness of all beings.
- Heal yourself and others through forgiveness and dreamwork.
- Guide your thoughts, speech and actions.
- Travel to see places outside your city of residence.
- Interact with Nature. Have a healthy rest.
- Cultivate inner peace and strength.
- Awaken your wisdom, love and guidance.
- Communicate holistically: deeply, effectively and with integrity
- Guide your ulterior motives
- Be responsible. Face your fears.
- Explore your ego and weaknesses
- Transform yourself: personal transformation leads to societal transformation
- Move out of your comfort zone.
- Be a warrior of peace amidst earthly turmoil.
Barriers to benevolence
Certain factors which are obviously barriers to the earth’s summum bonum are synthetically created by our minds. Color, creed, tribe, dialect and class have eroded the fertile soil of our brotherly love and created a gigantic and distorted gulf that is threatening our existence as humanity.
Greed, anger, lust, attachment and vanity have been our uncurbed devilish inert tendencies. They all have a common modus operandi in the lowest and highest schemes in running the earth in an aberrant manner. But any time we unleash these demons onto the spatial spheres of existence, know we have acted out of love.
Check and Balance
The law of freedom gives us the choice to utilize this neutral power at our frequent disposal. We should also understand that this law operates within the frame work of check and balance. And it is the law of compensation commonly referred to as the law of karma that check-mate this law of freedom.
In the end of our earthly sojourn, the worth of each one of us would be rated by the yardstick of responsibility. It is benevolence that produces the safest and grandest stewardship. Without Love, we as human beings cannot have benevolence.
Paradox of anarchy
We as peoples of benevolent earth united by benevolent thoughts, words and deeds, are still impoverished with destructive instincts that have held humanity in bondage. This is the paradox of anarchy which we can solve with benevolence without a chain of mysterious solutions.
Delay is perilous
It is not wise to set aside our benevolence for another day. Remember a smile, a gentle touch, a good thought; a kind word and any form of a little good deed are benevolence. You do not need to wait till you become a Bill Gates or Elon Musk before you act benevolently. The earth is in distress, the earth peoples are in agony and even our animal siblings are reaping their share from man’s mistakes.
We are one
It is an undisputed truth that we are one despite our variances. The similarities that we bear as a human race are in a million numbers compared to our differences. The human race is like the rainbow whose beauty is depleted without all her colours. Let us appreciate one another with benevolence. Without benevolence, we cannot ride into the anticipatory golden age. Together we can achieve greater happiness, equitable earth, self-sufficient humanity and a violence free world.
