NFTs Are A SCAM??
NFT Scam?
That's what beginners think about NFTs, even though if you explain it simply, it's very easy to understand why NFTs aren't actually a SCAM.
How come?
This is my opinion about NFT β
. . . .
In fact, NFTs are the same as other works of art in the real world, namely they are seen as "Works of Art" which have value "In the eyes of the Community" β
π£ : But NFTs can't be compared to original works, NFTs are rubbish that have no value, they're just pictures!!
. . . .
Yes, I also think NFTs are just images. But I don't consider NFTs to be "trash"
Let's go back to the statement above. Who gives value to an "original" work of art? And why do paintings e.g. Monalisa is considered so expensive?
. . . .
Is it because it was made by a famous painter? Unique? Or because of the legendary painting?
That's right, but in reality those who visualize the value being so expensive are because the community itself values it.
Just like original works of art, it is the Community that plays an important role in the life of NFTs.
. . . .
In my opinion, why should NFTs be better than original works of art?
Utilities?
So, this is the culprit, and why NFT can be called a SCAM!! π
The meaning of scam = cheating, right?
Well, what can make an NFT a scam is clearly not the NFT, but the Creator & Community itself!
In fact, NFTs are better than original works of art that only serve as decoration
. . . .
Here I'm not badmouthing the original work of art, I'm just comparing the two in terms of utility.
Indeed, NFTs are inferior in terms of "value" in art, but they are no less valuable.
π£ : So what's the function?
This is always the question, what is the "use case"? even though the potential for NFTs is only 5/100
