Heartfelt Prayer

Hey God,

Teach me how to guard my heart and not build a wall around my heart. You wanted me to protect my heart, not remove it. I have been through some experiences that make it hard to trust people and believe their intentions are good. Now there is a wall around my heart. I can't allow those who hurt me to determine how I show up in new relationships and I can't walk in love with a broken heart. 

I can feel the wall forming around my heart, help me turn the wall around my heart into a gate. Help me to heal and learn who I should 'know' in life and who I should say 'no' to in life. Help me create healthy boundaries and not destructive habits. Heal the areas that hurt to talk about. I refuse to lose my heart for I've learned my heart is the soil where relationships grow. --solo
Finally, God give me your peace of mind, I need my heart to walk in love.
