The Most Dangerous and Violent Serial Killers to Give You the Chills (Part 1)

1. Pedro Rodrigues Filho (Pedrinho Matador)

Arrested in 1973, Pedro was convicted in 2003 of killing at least 71 people and sentenced to 128 years in prison. Filho committed his first murder at the age of 14. While in prison, he inflicted serious harm on local drug dealers to avenge the death of his girlfriend. Filho killed at least 47 inmates in prison, including his father. His continued murders led to his sentence being increased to 400 years.

2.Tommy Lynn Sells (The Brutal Texan)

Tommy Lynn Sells, the self-proclaimed "Coast to Coast Killer," committed 22 murders, confessed to many more, and claimed responsibility for over 70. He said he killed these 70 people between 1985 and 1999. Sells broke into the room of a 10-year-old girl and stabbed her to death. However, the little girl survived and gave police a detailed description of Sells. He was sentenced to death and held on death row in a high-security prison in Texas until 2014.

3. John Wayne Gacy (Pogo the Clown)

Active in Chicago, Illinois from 1972-1978, Gacy murdered 33 young and adolescent boys after sexually assaulting them. The killer lured his victims to his home with promises of money and jobs and strangled them to death with a tourniquet. He buried 26 of the bodies beneath his house and later dumped them in the Des Plaines River. He was convicted of 33 murders and spent 14 years on death row before being executed on May 10, 1994.

4.Jeffrey Dahmer (The Milwaukee Cannibal)

One of the most famous and horrifying serial killers of all time, Jeffrey Dahmer dismembered the bodies of 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991. He was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder (BPD),schizotypal personality disorder (StPD) and a psychotic disorder. A necrophiliac, Dahmer enjoyed eating the body parts of his victims. As a good looking gay man, his targets were mostly from gay bars. He was caught after a potential victim managed to ran away from him and sentenced to 15 life sentences in 1992, but was beaten to death two years later in the Colombian Correctional Institution.

5.Aileen Wuornos: The Monster

Wuornos confessed to shooting 7 men and stealing their money while working as a sex worker. Wuornos claimed that her clients had either raped or attempted to rape her, and that the homicides of the men were committed in self-defense. Although she was a sex worker for straight men, she claimed she was a lesbian and hated man. He was executed by lethal injection in 1992.
