HBO is about to release a documentary, claiming to have found evidence that Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakamoto is his real name.

HBO has announced that it is about to release a documentary about Bitcoin's anonymous founder Satoshi Nakamoto, claiming to reveal his identity.
Satoshi Nakamoto is the pseudonym used by a person or group of people to initiate the idea of Bitcoin, a peer-to-peer, trustless currency network, which was launched on January 3, 2009. After helping with its early development and operations, Satoshi Nakamoto disappeared in 2010 and no one has heard from him since. However, the cryptocurrency community is still regularly attracted to news about Satoshi, partly because of the desire to know the identity of the person who gave birth to the blockchain and cryptocurrency fields, and partly because of the "treasure" of 1.1 million Bitcoins that he is said to own.

The HBO documentary "Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery" is scheduled to premiere on October 9 (US time). The program's executive producer, Mr. Cullen Hoback, said the evidence provided in the film is valid, with the real conclusion that will surprise many people and continue to debate.
Over time, many candidates have been put forward as “suspects” of the person behind the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, including early Bitcoin programmer Hal Finney (who passed away in 2014), computer scientist Adam Back, programming expert Nick Szabo, etc.

There have even been many conspiracy theories about the above issue, the most famous of which is the rumor that Bitcoin was an invention of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and Satoshi Nakamoto is actually just a play on the name of the CIA.

However, Alex Thorn, head of research at digital asset investment firm Galaxy Digital, said the HBO documentary will conclude that Satoshi Nakamoto's identity is Len Sassaman, a lesser-known programmer who committed suicide in 2011.

Prediction market platform Polymarket was also quick to "blur" the odds of predicting the true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto that the HBO documentary will present, with Len Sassaman being the overwhelming choice at 58%.
