I heard my phone buzz with its notification tone and I rushed to check whom the message came from. Deep down my silent prayers were it should be from you because you've been on my mind all day. You can only imagine the disappointed look on my face when I read "Yello, set your callert...." text from MTN. And almost immediately, I cursed them under my breath. 

I hold you dearly in my heart. Distance is the barrier between us but it can't really keep us apart. Today I saw a Rose flower and then I thought of you. Still wondering how I'll one day say to your Dad; "I saw a beautiful flower in your compound and I came to....".

I get asked why I'm so fond of you so often and the truth is; I don't know.
Could it be the way you make me feel whenever I'm around you?
Could it be who you've made me become?
Could it be your soothing kiss?
If you ever go, what is that thing I'll forever miss?

Why I love you so is mysterious.
That's better because this love is unexplainable.
