Introduction

In 2008, Within Temptation released "Black Symphony," a live album recorded with the Metropole Orchestra. This was followed by another live album in 2009, titled "An Acoustic Night at the Theatre," featuring acoustic renditions of their songs. The band's fifth studio album, "The Unforgiving," released in March 2011, marked a shift towards new musical territories beyond symphonic metal.
