From Chaos to Calm: Rediscovering Strength in Life’s Storms
Finding Strength in the Storm: A Journey Through Sickness, Sacrifice, and Resilience
Hey Bulbers... It has really been a while so here's what I have to say for now
Life has a way of throwing challenges at us when we least expect it. For me, the past few months have been a whirlwind of emotions, hardships, and unexpected moments of growth. I have been in and out of the hospital, battling an illness that has left me physically drained and emotionally exhausted. The stress of it all became too much to bear, and I had to make a difficult decision: I quit my job.
Prioritize Self-Care: Your health, both mental and physical comes first. Don’t feel guilty about setting boundaries or stepping back when needed.
The work environment, though necessary for financial stability, was contributing to my declining health. Choosing to prioritize my well-being was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made.
The toll of this battle hasn’t just been physical. I became so tired all the time, lacking the motivation to do anything. Even the simplest of tasks felt insurmountable. Frustration and anger became frequent companions, and in a moment of rage and despair, I cut my hair. It wasn’t just about the hair, it was a symbolic act, a desperate attempt to regain control over a life that felt completely out of my hands.

Amidst this chaos, my friends stepped in like rays of sunlight piercing through dark clouds. They refused to let me feel alone, taking me out and reminding me that even in the toughest times, there’s joy to be found in companionship. Their unwavering support has been a lifeline, pulling me back from the edge of hopelessness.
But perhaps the most unexpected source of strength has come from my role as a mother. In the middle of all this turmoil, I have a little girl who depends on me. Despite my struggles, our bond has deepened in ways I never thought possible.
"You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice." – Bob Marley
In the quiet moments we share, whether it’s reading a bedtime story, sharing a laugh, or just holding her close, I find a renewed sense of purpose. She has become my anchor, reminding me that even when life feels draining, giving up is not an option.
Life has been anything but easy recently. There have been days when I felt like I was barely holding on, but through it all, I’ve discovered a resilience I didn’t know I had.
Give Yourself Grace: Life’s storms can feel unrelenting, but remember, you’re human. It’s okay to rest and recharge before you continue your journey.
The journey isn’t over, and I’m still figuring out how to navigate this new normal. But one thing is certain: no matter how tough it gets, I’ll keep pushing forward.
"Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain." – Vivian Greene
Because in the midst of pain and struggle, there is also love, growth, and the hope for brighter days ahead.
