The Premier League is the best league, with the world's best players and is played at breakneck speed. Entering into the 2023-24 season these are the fastest Premier League players in history.

10. Arnaut Danjuma 36.34 km/h

While on loan at Tottenham last season Villareal winger Arnaut Danjuma played 162 minutes in the league. He earned a single assist and clocked a top speed of 36.34 km/h to rank as one of the fastest players in Premier League history.

9. Darwin Nunez 36.53 km/h

Darwin Nunez is not the fastest player in the EPL, and he didn’t break the 38 km/h mark which was inaccurately reported in late 2022. He did however clock a speed of 36.53 km/h in a two-all draw against Fulham in August 2022, with Nunez scoring a 64th minute goal.
With his speed Nunez could well become one of the best strikers in the world if he can improve on his positioning and finishing in front of goal.

8. Anthony Gordon - 36.61 km/h

There must be something to run from at Craven Cottage as Anthony Gordon sprinted away at 36.61 km/h in a bore draw against Fulham in October 2022.
The former Everton winger has since completed a big money move to Newcastle for an initial £40m fee, and there’s pressure on the youngster to prove he’s worth the big money deal.

7. Mykhailo Mudryk - 36.63 km/h

Speaking of big money transfers, Chelsea bought Ukrainian Mykhailo Mudryk in a deal worth £88.5m from Shakhtar Donetsk in early 2023.
Shortly after the move and in his league debut, he became one of the fastest Premier League players in history with a top speed of 36.63 km/h against Liverpool.

6. Adama Traore - 36.64 km/h

Hulking forward Adama Traore has the rare combination of a beastly physique and explosively quick runs.
He began this season at Fulham, but while at Wolves he clocked a top speed of 36.64 km/h against Manchester City in December 2021. Just over a year before that he also registered a 36.47 km/h sprint against Chelsea.

5. Mohamed Salah 36.64 km/h

Liverpool rejected a £150m offer from Al Ittihad for Mohamed Salah proving just how highly sought and valued the speedy winger is. Salah was joint top goalscorer in the 2021-22 season alongside Son Heung-min with 23 goals.
Against Southampton in a November fixture he ran 36.64 km/h, but despite a 10-game win streak Salah and Liverpool fell just short of the title.

4. Pierre-Emerick Aubamayang 36.66 km/h

In his prime Pierre-Emerick Aubamayang was up there with the best strikers in the world and one of the quickest athletes on the planet. After a £56 million move to Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund in 2018, Aubamayang ran 36.66 km/h against Watford in July 2021.

3. Brennan Johnson 36.70 km/h

Tottenham paid £47.5m to Nottingham Forest in September 2023 for arguably the fastest players in the Premier League at the moment.

Welsh forward Brennan Johnson has the pace and flair to become one of the league's most dangerous wingers and he's already one of the fastest Premier League players in history with a top speed of 36.70 km/h registered last season while at Forest.

2. Antonio Rudiger 36.72 km/h

Antonio Rudiger is one of the quickest defenders ever. Rudiger ran a time of 36.72 km/h against Brighton in December 2021, good enough to become the second fastest Premier League player of all time. Now at Real Madrid, Rudiger is one of the strongest, powerful and fastest defenders in the world.

1. Kyle Walker 37.31 km/h

Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker remains the fastest player in Premier League history with a clocked speed of 37.31 km/h last season. Walker once even challenged Usain Bolt on Instagram to a race but let's be real, he'd be no match.

Regardless, Walker is England’s greatest ever right back and at 33, he’s still tearing it down the flank delivering dangerous crosses and creating opportunities for teammates.
