Hello BULBers, We’re back with BULB’s Month in Review for October 2023!
The latest big feature on BULB, Article NFTs went live in mid October. We have seen a strong update in activity since launch and it is exciting to be at the forefront of driving Web3 blogging and the broader social media landscape.
A few things to unpack, so let’s get into it!
Article NFTs Official Launch

To refresh your memory, BULB Article NFTs are created when a published blog is minted on the Solana blockchain, whoever holds the Article NFT will be the sole beneficiary of all the BULB points derived from the particular blog.
So far we’ve seen 12 different Article NFT collections, with some notables being @Miguel, @andrewsaul, @CryptoSafetyFirst and @CryptoEntrepreneurs to name a few. Each Article NFT is unique in its own way, not only because it is a unique token on the Solana Blockchain, but due to the fact that all of the articles minted as an NFT or SFTs are written by genuine, creative and passionate writers, which is reflected in the quality of the content of the underlying blog. This is why we built the feature: to support writers in owning their content.

Going forward, we want to leverage Article NFTs as the foundation for our writers to build meaningful and long lasting relationships with readers, such that a genuine 2-way driven blogging community can be created. Without spoiling too much, we have big plans to develop NFT-gated communities, NFT-gated content, ‘collect n’ combine’ NFTs and more.
Ultimately, we encourage everyone on BULB to mint or purchase an Article NFT, and make your mark on BULB and the Solana Blockchain.
User Update: 2,200+ BULBers and Counting
Latest Leaderboard
Over the past month, we’ve spiked from just under 2,000 users to over 2,200 users. We think this reflects the increasing demand for Web3 blogging platforms and know that BULB is perfectly positioned to capture this moving forward.
One of the most encouraging aspects of this growth is the greater diversity of content and topics that have emerged on BULB, including technology, arts and culture, finance, sustainability, health, and more. This not only enriches our platform, but also underscores its relevance and appeal to a broader audience beyond just the Web 3.0 community. As we continue to grow, growing the diversity of our content and user base will be a key focus going forward. Because Web 3.0 should be for everyone, right?
BULB Writing Competition Starts Saturday
We are excited to announce our first ever writing competition on BULB! The intent is to create some friendly competition within the community to highlight the very best writers, and most importantly…reward them.
At the start of each month, we will ask BULBers to write one or more articles about a particular topic selected by the community. The best 3 articles will receive a shoutout on our X profile where the community will be able to vote their winner.
To enter, simply post an article on the topic between November 4th and November 11th, adding ‘Writing Competition’ as the first tag on your article.
The lucky winner will receive 1,000,000 BULB Tokens and 0.1 SOL to mint their article as an Article NFT.
