TON, the future of the decentralized web, arrives in Hong Kong

On April 8, 2024, the Web3 Festival will be held in Hong Kong, the most important event of the year on blockchain technology and its applications. The festival, co-organized by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs and HashKey Group, will be sponsored by TON, the open source platform that aims to revolutionize the web with its scalability, speed and security.

TON, which means Telegram Open Network, is the project promoted by the eponymous foundation and by Telegram, the popular encrypted messaging application that has more than 500 million users around the world. TON is based on a multi-chain architecture that allows millions of transactions to be processed per second, thus overcoming the limitations of other blockchain networks such as Bitcoin or Ethereum.
In addition, TON offers a series of services and tools that facilitate the development and integration of decentralized applications (DApps) in various areas, such as finance, identity, communication, entertainment or education. Among these services are:

TON Storage: A distributed, censorship-resistant storage system that allows you to save and share files securely and efficiently.
TON DNS: A name resolution service that allows you to assign human-readable addresses to TON accounts, smart contracts, and DApps.
TON Proxy: an anonymity service that allows you to hide the IP address and identity of users and network nodes, thus protecting their privacy and security.
TON Payments: A micropayment system that enables instant, low-cost transactions between users and TON DApps.
TON Services: a service layer that allows access to TON functionalities from any device and platform, including Telegram and other third-party applications.
Among the DApps that are already running on TON is @Wallet, a digital wallet that allows you to manage and transfer the network's native tokens, called Grams, as well as other digital assets. @Wallet integrates with Telegram, making it easier for the millions of users of the messaging app to use TON.
The Web3 Festival will be a unique opportunity to learn first-hand about TON's news and advances, as well as to interact with members of the TON Foundation, Telegram, @Wallet and other ecosystem projects. The event will have a main stage where informative talks, discussion panels and use case presentations will be held. There will also be networking spaces, practical workshops and live demonstrations.
