The zk.Link Labs Ecosystem Developer Grants Program funds individuals and teams building a more functional, accessible, and impactful economy. By offering financial support and a suite of resources, this program is set to empower developers to explore the frontiers of blockchain innovation, creating applications that push the boundaries of what’s possible. To make this possible, zk.Link Labs are allocating 2% of the total token supply or 20,000,000 ZKL to successful grant applicants.

We invite anyone and everyone to apply for a grant. Projects funded through our programs are broad in scope, but our priority will be given to DApps that leverage zk.Link’s unique capabilities. Projects that demonstrate a keen understanding of zk.Link’s features and how to utilize them for ecosystem growth will stand out in our review process.

Advancing Blockchain Innovation with zk.Link

The zk.Link platform stands at the cutting edge of blockchain technology, offering developers unparalleled capabilities:

• Aggregated liquidity across Ethereum and Layer 2 blockchains: Our platform enables seamless interaction without the need for bridging assets across chains, simplifying the liquidity process and enhancing user experience.

• Multi-chain access from a single deployment point: With zk.Link, developers can deploy their applications once and have them accessible across multiple Layer 2 blockchains. This eliminates the complexity and redundancy of deploying to each Layer 2 blockchain individually while reducing resources.

• Comprehensive SDK for Developers: Our extensive SDK equips developers with the tools to easily build and deploy multi-chain dApps. Utilizing APIs, developers can leverage the power of zero-knowledge proofs without delving into their complexities, making it easier to focus on creating impactful applications.

Phase 1 Milestone Grant Application Window and Process

The application period for Phase 1(P1) runs from March 11th, 2024, to June 11th, 2024, with successful applicants notified by the latest June 15, 2024. Results of the grant applications will be released at the end of every Quarter.

P1 Milestone Grants are capped at $50,000 ZKL per project.

Grant applications might be applicable if any of the following apply to your project:

• In the early stage: you’ve started work but are still testing assumptions or working toward a proof of concept.

• Experimental: you have an idea that’s a little “out there” but potentially impactful — and the only way to find out is to try it.

• Time sensitive: you need a decision within a few weeks.

• Community event related: sponsorship requests for events focused on zk.Links technology and community can also be submitted via the small grants pipeline.

Each grant application will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and selected applicants will be notified to discuss additional criterias and milestone KPIs with the zk.Link Labs team.

What is NOT eligible

• Anything that is not legal within the jurisdiction where the work is taking place.

• Projects with a planned token launch or public funding round.

• Art projects or charities that don’t fit within our scope.

Application Review

Our team will review all applications and determine if more information is required, and then schedule a call with the team if necessary. At that point, we may revert with additional questions or ideas.

We receive many applications and work as quickly as we can to process them. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible with next steps, typically within 2 weeks.

We require all projects to create documentation that explains how their project works. At a minimum, written documentation is required for funding. Tutorials or videos are also helpful for new users to understand how to use your product.

Decision

Applicants will be notified via email whether their proposal has been accepted or not.
While we’re open to a wide range of projects, priority will be given to innovative projects that actively engage with the zk.Link ecosystem.

Projects that are able to demonstrate contribution to its growth and opportunities for zk.Link users, will find a special place in our review process. However, all applications are welcomed and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

zk.Link Labs is interested in providing grants within the following areas of interest DEX-AMM, Native Stablecoins, Lending Platforms, DEX-Orderbook/RFQ, DEX-Stableswap, Wallet as a Service, Data Indexers, Oracles, Bridges, Yield Optimizers and more.
