Pains of yesteryears
After long painful years of studying
they go around with beautiful certificates
searching for what they were trained to do
they are scattered along the streets
filing out like ants before one vacancy
angry with nature;intoxicated with passion
having spent years in work and hope
in schools from infancy to adulthood
how will this problem ever end?
who will save us from this plague?
millions rush out of government house daily
skyscrapers and huge mansions in housing estates
flamboyant life style, money laundering and fraud
building churches and international worship centers
billions awarded; bill board contractors and things!
how justified are we to speak against evil
how justified are we to condemn crime?
pen robbery is armed robbery;corruption is murder!
robbing young graduates of their jobs by pen
killing beautiful dreams and aspirations of many
should we now embrace education or revolution
in all these happenings; should we be law abiding?
where lies the glory of the classrooms?
where lies the salts of our perspiration?
