GTA Vice City returns after years !
The Grand Theft Auto series made a significant impact with its latest game, GTA 6, towards the end of 2023. Rockstar managed to raise expectations significantly with the very first announcement, and a surprising move came from the players. A group of modders began working on a game mode for GTA: Vice City Reamstered.
GTA: Vice City Reamstered will be developed using the game engine of GTA 5
Vice City, released by Rockstar in 2002, has continued to be a favorite among players for years. Most recently, the game is getting a next-gen remastered version developed by modders. A group called the Revolution Team is using the GTA 5 game engine, RAGE, to completely overhaul the entire Vice City experience.
The mod, to be named GTA Vice City Nextgen Edition, aims to significantly enhance the graphics quality and adapt the gameplay to modern standards. According to the shared details, all missions, maps, characters, and vehicles of the game will be redesigned.
It has been reported that authenticity will be maintained in character and pedestrian models, while improvements will be made to textures. Additionally, environmental details such as particle effects and lighting will also be enhanced.
In terms of content, no significant changes are expected. The Revolution Team has stated that it will remain true to all classic radio stations and cutscenes. In fact, the developers mentioned that they will even address the Definitive Edition, which has sparked significant controversy in the gaming world.
The GTA Vice City Nextgen Edition, set to be released as a GTA 5 mod, is expected to launch in 2025. Moreover, it seems unlikely that this project will face legal issues with Take-Two. It's important to note that it will be a mod using the RAGE engine released by Rockstar.
