The Chicken's Perspective: A Mother's Heartache (short story part 2/3 )
Second part of the short story = The farmer, the chicken and the fox.
THE CHICKEN
In the cozy corner of the farmhouse, a diligent hen named Henrietta diligently cared for her precious eggs. Each day, she laid them with love and warmth, imagining the joy of seeing her chicks hatch and explore the world. Little did she know that her dreams were about to be shattered by the cunning fox that lurked in the shadows.
One fateful night, as Henrietta nestled in the straw, the unmistakable scent of danger invaded the air. Her keen instincts warned her of an intruder, and as she clucked nervously, her heart sank. The fox, with its sly eyes glinting in the moonlight, had infiltrated their sanctuary.
Henrietta's maternal instincts kicked in as she desperately tried to shield her precious eggs from the intruder. The sound of breaking shells echoed through the coop as Reynard's cunning prevailed. Henrietta's heartache was palpable as she watched the fox escape into the night with her unborn chicks.
Yet, even in her sorrow, Henrietta found strength. She understood that the world beyond the coop was fraught with danger, and she needed to be vigilant. As she mourned the loss of her unborn chicks, she vowed to protect the remaining eggs with unwavering determination. The lesson for Henrietta was one of resilience and protection. Sometimes, the world demanded not only love but also the courage to stand against those who sought to harm what was dear.
The nights grew longer, and Henrietta became a sentinel, keeping a watchful eye over her remaining eggs. She found solace in the fact that her heartache had transformed into a fierce determination to ensure the safety of her unborn offspring. In the end, Henrietta's courage became a testament to the indomitable strength of a mother's love.

My apologies to the bulb community and to myself, this is the reason this portion of my writing received such a low score. It started off with 6 and I believe it is currently now at 10 for this post. I have learned my lesson and will be more carefull next time when posting to avoid starting off with such a low writing score.
Re-edit note. I am using the blogging tip assistant and bulb ai assistant to improve my score on this blog post. I have fixed the broken links but I still seem to be lagging. Any writing tips?
