Literature
Literature is a discipline that has a history extending from the Ancient Greek-Latin ages to the present day and has a special position among the fine arts. These fine arts include music, painting, architecture, sculpture and, of course, literature (especially poetry). Literature has gained a unique identity by distinguishing itself from other branches of art, primarily by emphasizing the concept of beauty and bringing aesthetics to the fore. Since ancient times, literature has been a tool for people to express their feelings, thoughts and imagination.
Poetry, as a special branch of literature, emphasizes the aesthetic power of language and the elegance of its rhythm. An important feature that distinguishes literature from other branches of fine arts is that it expresses beauty not only through usefulness, but also through emotional depth, imagination and meaning. Literature, along with other fine arts such as music, painting, architecture and sculpture, is considered a tool that enriches human creativity and emotional world.
These branches of art allow people to express their inner world and think deeply about social events and various aspects of life. By focusing on the place of literature among these five fine arts, it is possible to understand how the aesthetic experience in human history has been shaped. The traditional understanding of fine arts has undergone a significant evolution from past to present. Today, not only five branches of art are emphasized; On the contrary, new art forms such as ballet (dance), cinema, screenplay and photography are also included in this scope. Nowadays, the definition of art has expanded, and in addition to emphasizing the idea of usefulness, craft works that embody fine taste are also accepted as art. In this context, crafts such as woodworking, iron working, copper working, leather working are also included in the scope of art and have an aesthetic value.
