Marquez goes to Gresini, Ducati considers him an ally

Spanish rider Marc Marquez will undertake the 2024 MotoGP with the Gresini Racing satellite team.

He will ride a Ducati Desmosedici GP23 motorbike, a machine a year older or known as a satellite motorbike.

With a total of eight Ducati riders on the grid, they can all share data with each other.

Ducati will use this to study Marquez's racing style.

Instead of seeing Marquez as a rival, Ducati actually sees Marquez as an ally for their main riders.

“Marc will be an ally because we will benefit greatly from seeing the way he rides the bike,” said Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali to Marca.com.

"I think both Pecco, Jorge and Marco will be able to improve by seeing the way Marc rides, because we have the philosophy that they have that all the data is the same," continued the Italian.

“So he will definitely appear very strong. "If I look at the difference he makes compared to other Honda riders, I think he will appear very strong next year, so he will be a candidate to win, for the title, for sure," said Domenicali.

Marquez at Gresini Racing will team up with his own younger brother, Alex Marquez for MotoGP 2024.
