Adult Content Platforms Rundown

Here's a nice little rundown of my favorite platforms from a creator standpoint, but that those of you who enjoy NSFW and adult content can use to gauge where the best creators might be (for the record... it's me and the ones that I'm on, obviously)

MUST HAVE PLATFORMS/MY FAVORITES

MintStars | My absolute favorite place to sell my adult content. Mintstars has seamless payouts, creators receive 100% of their payouts (with fans charged 5% at the time of purchase), and responsive, sex-positive founders and staff.
This is THE place for creators to find the support they deserve. It’s still a fairly young platform, and right now their small team is still doing one-on-one onboarding calls with new creators that have them a little backed up for accepting new creators… but it’s worth the wait. They are making constant improvements based on feedback from Creators and Fans, and bending over backwards to help bring on new fans and Creators. They are setting the new standard for Adult content platforms.

Proton | Proton is a Gmail/Gdrive alternative with end-to-end encryption. Secure, private, and reliable, this platform has all the basic tools you need. Secure e-mail, calendar, cloud storage (adult creator safe!), and a myriad of tools to integrate it with your existing tools. You can even create multiple emails that can be sent to you while receiving it all in one inbox to help you organize. The paid upgrade is highly worth it.

Slushy | The interface is a web-based app. Meaning the interface on your computer is app-like but usable, and can also be set to be used on your phone just like an app as opposed to an in-browser page.

If TikTok and Instagram had an NSFW baby, Slushy would be it! The interface can be a little slow and takes a moment to get used to, but overall seems fairly easy to get discovered by fans. You’ll still have to reel them in to subscribe and not just follow, but it’s not any worse of a ratio than other sites.

PLATFORMS I RECOMMEND FOR USE

Loyalfans | Not my favorite platform, but it’s easy to get discovered and for subs/fans to find you. It’s not the greatest payout rate, but it’s pretty standard and has an app that you can utilize for some of your content and live streaming. The interface can feel overwhelming at first, and several features (such as mass messaging) feel a little “hidden”, but it doesn’t take long to get a feel for it and get started. You can create a media library so you don’t have to store all of your content off-site for access (though it’s still recommended to keep a copy of all content elsewhere just in case).

This one seems to be pretty popular for submissives to use as of early 2024, particularly for findom. One of the downsides is that a subscriber has access to everything on your wall, even if it’s paygated to non-subscribers, much like OnlyFans. LF is one of the top OnlyFans alternatives due to its similarities; including the ability to use locked messages to get around the full access to your page by subscribers.

FinMessage | A chat-based content platform site that allows you to set up kink channels for subscribing too, so your subs can subscribe to just specific content instead of all of it. Cool premise doesn’t seem to make discovering new creators as friendly as I’d like, but if you’re active, it’ll work with you. I don’t personally use this one much as I have other platforms I prefer, but I do feel this has a great setup and could be an easy favorite for others.

I love the ability to easily create different channels of content under one account, so if you cater to multiple fetishes your followers can subscribe to content in just a particular category that you’ve set. You could even create a channel when you put all your content at a higher price, or keep it all separated. It’s very flexible and easy to personalize.

Bulb | Bulb app is a crypto-based platform for earning through blogging and interaction. The site contains weekly challenges such as reacting to blogs, leaving comments, etc. You earn Crypto for views and interaction, making it a small but easy income source if you enjoy writing. Write, post, and let the views roll in. There’s not a huge market of people writing about sex and/or kink, but there are a good number of people who will read and interact with the content. If you’re an educator and/or have something to say about what you learn in sex work, this is a great place to put that info and earn for having it there. It’s not going to make you rich quick, but it’s fairly passive in that sense and crypto seems to be where things are heading.

Tangled Social | A social media site that allows you to earn Crypto for interaction, content selling, and views gained. Yan creates small amounts of passive income with growth potential and is NSFW-friendly with appropriate tagging. They recently implemented the ability to tag all your followers at once, which can be great but gets overused. If you’re interested in straight-up crypto that already has some real-world value but is no Bitcoin… it’s a good platform to sign up for and occasionally bath-uploading content with hashtags. There’s a big non-US user base.

PLATFORMS I UPDATE & USE OCCASIONALLY, BUT DON’T LOVE

FanVue | A NSFW creator platform. Fair enough payouts, discovery, and usage.

FanCentro | A NSFW creator platform, similar to FanVue and others. I’d say there’s a good discovery rate if you are active, and it’s pretty fair/standard in every other aspect. I believe this one is pretty popular in Europe, so if you tend to appeal to that base, it might work well for you.

iFans | Another content platform to use. it’s not exciting and I rarely use it, but it’s worth taking a poke around. What doesn’t work well for me might work better for you and vice-versa.

Phrendly | Paid-to-chat site. Just make sure you are the one being messaged; whoever messages first is the one who gets paid. It takes a lot more work than the other content platforms imo, and it doesn’t pay quite as well as Niteflirt or Sextpanther, but you don’t need an established following to sign up. Anyone can.

PLATFORMS I STEER CLEAR OF & RECOMMEND YOU DO TOO

OnlyFans | One of the most popular platforms for sex workers and the mainstream-known site. OF has no loyalty to sex workers and often threatens to clear them from the platform periodically despite being one of their largest income streams. The owner of OF pledged $11 million to AIPAC (an Israeli lobby that pushes US political candidates who will support Israeli interests over US interests). It regularly & happily exploits sex workers, has poor data security for creatorssteals from creators, and is tied to a long list of other shitty behavior and lack of protection for creators. You only need to google “onlyfans scandal” to get an idea.

Premium.Chat | Tried to start beef with the beloved gifting site Wishtender (one of the sites that supports SWers proudly and well) despite not being competition or having any reason to? They tried to destroy the site out of stupid pettiness, aren’t helpful with promoting, and generally pale in comparison to popular options like Niteflirt and Sextpanther. You can take a look at the tweets regarding Premium.Chat’s slander of Wishtender in the following tweets: One | Two | Three

FanSupport | Generally shitty to creators, particularly Findommes until they realized how much income Findommes pulled in. Reference tweets: One | Two | Three | Four | Five
