The Lonely Road

The road ahead stretches far and wide,

With no one else in sight, I stride.

The wind whispers secrets to the trees,

And I wonder, what mysteries it brings to me.

The sun beats down upon my face,

But I find comfort in this lonely place.

With each step, I leave behind my past,

And a new beginning, I am hoping to grasp.

The road is long and sometimes tough,

But I know I'll rise above.

For I am strong, I am brave,

And with each step, I am remade.

So I'll keep walking, mile by mile,

For I know that I'll find my way to smile.

For the road may be lonely, but it's mine to roam,

And I'll create my own story, as I make my way home.
