Athene Network has DePIN in a spin

Good morning/ evening.
There are a few people I know in the DePIN sector that are quite interested in this project so I thought I would take a look at the Athene mobile mining app which is a decentralized data collection and social media aggregation platform that aims to analyse trends using AI to enable individuals and businesses to track trends and market sentiment.
The Athene eco system built as a layer 2 on Ethereum has, other than the app, a Dex,Wallet, Bridge and Games as well as a launchpad to support new crypto projects, a global E-commerce platform for buying and selling and a P2P trading exchange.
You can earn GEM tokens by using the Athene app and gain boosters to speed up mining and accelerators for additional benefits with things like referrals and achievements.
To encourage participation and contribution to the network, Athene Network has developed a straightforward mining system for the GEM token, which is used as a reward for the users who maintain activity and complete missions within the app. By completing daily app activities like training the Athene AI through games and chatting with the AI assistant ANTHIA, you generate gems automatically.
Now I have been looking and have found nothing on the team. There are the usual socials but I have not done a deep dive on this project, there is something about it that raises an alarm in my head. I could be wrong and this could be the next big thing, but it is not for me.
It could be the chatter that you can sell your PI tokens on the Athene P2P marketplace. Remember PI, that free app that probably sells your data, perhaps that has clouded my judgement on this project.
As with all things crypto please DYOR but please feel free to tell me what you think, I could be completely wrong, there have been millions of downloads of the app! Do you think this project is in need of further research? Does it sound good to you?
