Okay, it´s April 2nd, 2025, a historic day for global markets, after months of FUF, the tariffs will come into play today.

Finally, we will see their true impact. Will they make America rich again, or are they just another Trump Dud?

As you should know, FUD is worse than a bombshell. If markets have no direction, it´s certain death.

So I expect things to get better slowly as of now.
At least for the forward-looking markets, not as much for the money in the poor people's pockets, of course.

Poor PI People

But there are people in a worse situation. People who locked up their PI tokens for months or years because they were promised great wealth if they would.
PI is the Future

No, I am not a visionary, and I might be totally wrong. But if your token drops 60% in a single month, and 77% from the top it saw 5 weeks ago... I would feel a little bad.

Especially if you see that the most bullied coin this cycle only drops 16%.

Now ETH has some kind of potential left, but as I said before, PI only copies 2019 use cases which makes it irrelevant.

Pi Use Cases

Peer-to-Peer Transactions:
Offering a decentralized and low-cost alternative to traditional banking systems.
Yup, we do not have plenty of those that are way more decentralized.

Decentralized Applications (DApps):
Pi is definitely not decentralized at this moment, and DApps for gaming or Defi are so 2019.

Network Security: Staking to validate transactions and secure the blockchain.
That sounds ehh, like so many other coins and as PI fails to be truly decentralized and has super nodes that nobody understands...., hence validation is not a real thing yet.

Integration with Financial Systems: Pi integrated into payment gateways, instant fiat conversion, or linked to crypto debit cards for everyday transactions.
What the Flipper, I have never seen so many 2019 flashbacks, the only thing is that all those 2019 coins that did survive are light years ahead off this PI token.

Remittances: Pi coins could disrupt traditional remittance services by enabling fast and cost-effective cross-border transactions, particularly in regions like Africa and Southeast Asia, where remittances play a crucial economic role.

Not saying it, but I know what you guys are thinking:
If that ere not enough red flags, I found some interesting stuff shared by the PI community.

💀No AMA Sessions Before Token Launch

Most companies host AMAs and celebrate token launches. The PCT never held a single AMA before launching its "widely popular" token.

💀Pushing ".Pi Domains" While Ignoring dApps

Ahead of Pi Day (March 14, 2025), Dr. Nicholas of the PI Core Team (PCT) suddenly promoted .pi domains, ignoring the lack of ecosystem dApps. In this same week $Pi’s crashed from $1.75 to $0.81.

💀10 Billion Coins Held—But Zero Used for Development

PCT claims to hold 10B coins for "project promotion", but so far none have been used to go fund dApp development

💀Developers Leaving—PCT

Over the last 6 years, the good developers quit Pi Network due to its slow progress. But with the PCT distracting users with the failed .pi domains instead of focusing on what makes a network useful, it smells like rotten fish to me.

I would not be surprised if PCT is exiting, their reputation is in the gutter next to the rotten fish I am smelling.
And after the PCT sells their tokens they can still make money selling the mandatory KYC/biometric data to third parties.

You Lied, We Have DAPPS

Now, Pi People might get angry and say that there are DAPPS

There are ~20 mainnet apps in the ecosystem, all except "Map Of Pi" are unverified.

Which makes sense as there is hardly any incentive to develop a DAPP on PI.

There are literally HUNDREDS of apps that have been developed which are not listed on the ecosystem.

These apps are listed in Brainstorm and in different stages of development and quality. Some might actually add value, but PCT does not do anything with this list.... I wonder why

I say PI is dying... It has only been 6 weeks since the mainnet launch, but there is no update, no transparency, and nothing to celebrate.
And that is exactly what the chart shows.

Bottom Line

Like I said, we might feel bad that Trump dumped the markets, but just imagine having thousands of PI locked up for three years...or even a year.

Seeing that wonderful tapping coin hit $3, and dreaming about your Lambo in 12 months when it hits $30. Yes, I saw peeps calling for more, but $30 is a nice 10X from the top.
And then Dud happens....

A not so slow downward spriral of pure selling pressure without any buying incentive....and slowly the feeling that you bought into a scam grows.

And in 11 months from now, losing 60% of it´s value monthly...it´s worth...ehhh Chat what is it worth???

After 12 months of losing 60% of its value each month, a $3 token would be worth approximately $0.0000503 (or about 0.005 cents). Essentially, it becomes nearly worthless.

That is what I thought, thanks Chat!

If nothing changes, this might be one of my last PI posts. It has been fun, but I said what needed to be said. I showed how the project was able to drive the price up with low liquidity, how it was called a scam, what made the coin special, and that I did not get it.

Why buy PI? That is what started this series, and looking at the chart, I ended up where I started. Why Buy PI?

Watching a smelly fish die slowly is animal cruelty, and I do not want to be part of that....
