Sasha Pieterse Sheaffer, born on February 17, 1996, is a South African-born American actress, singer, and songwriter.
Pieterse gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Alison DiLaurentis in the Freeform series "Pretty Little Liars" and its spin-off, "Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists." Her performance in the series earned her critical acclaim and established her as a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.


Following the success of "Pretty Little Liars," Pieterse ventured into the world of film, earning a supporting role as Amy Loubalu in the 2011 Disney Channel film "Geek Charming." Her versatility as an actress was further showcased in the teen comedy film "G.B.F." in 2013.
In addition to her acting career, Pieterse showcased her dancing skills when she participated in the 25th season of "Dancing with the Stars" in 2017. Although she finished in 10th place, her time on the show allowed her to display her talent in a different artistic arena.

Sasha Pieterse was born on February 17, 1996, in Johannesburg, South Africa, to parents Sean and Zizi. In 2001, when she was just five years old, her family relocated to the United States, settling first in Las Vegas before eventually moving to Los Angeles.
Pieterse grew up surrounded by the entertainment industry, as both of her parents were professional acrobatic dancers who performed internationally. This exposure to the world of entertainment influenced Pieterse's early interest in pursuing a career in the field.
Due to the demands of her burgeoning career, Pieterse was homeschooled and completed her education at the age of 14. This flexibility allowed her to focus on her acting and singing aspirations while continuing to develop her skills in the entertainment industry.


From a young age, Sasha Pieterse embarked on a modeling and commercial career, starting at the tender age of four. Her early endeavors in the industry saw her appearing in various commercials, including a notable advertisement for Wenner Bread Products at just five years old.
As she continued to gain experience, Pieterse's visibility grew, landing her opportunities such as featuring on a national billboard for the hair salon franchise SuperCuts and modeling for Macy's Passport fashion show.

Sasha Pieterse's journey in the entertainment industry began at the age of six when she made her television debut in 2002, portraying Buffy in The WB's remake of the CBS sitcom Family Affair. She continued to make notable guest appearances, including a role in the Stargate SG-1 episode "Grace" and an appearance on House in 2005.
Pieterse's film debut came in 2005 with The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D, where she played Marissa, the Ice Princess. She also appeared in Good Luck Chuck and The Air I Breathe that same year, showcasing her versatility across different genres.


At the age of 13, Pieterse landed her breakthrough role as Alison DiLaurentis in the Freeform teen drama series Pretty Little Liars. Her portrayal of the enigmatic character earned her widespread recognition and established her as a prominent figure in the industry. She continued to captivate audiences with her performances in various television shows and films, including Geek Charming, X-Men: First Class, and G.B.F.
In 2017, Pieterse showcased her dancing skills as a contestant on the 25th season of Dancing with the Stars, finishing in 10th place alongside her partner Gleb Savchenko.

Following the success of her debut, Pieterse released her second single, "R.P.M," on June 13, 2013, further showcasing her musical versatility. Her third single, "I Can't Fix You," debuted on July 12, 2013, adding to her growing repertoire of songs that resonated with listeners.
On December 10, 2013, Pieterse released her fourth single, "No," a spirited track empowering listeners to stand firm in their beliefs and reject dishonest relationships. The upbeat song carries a message of resilience and self-assertion, reflecting Pieterse's ability to convey powerful themes through her music.
