Andrea Kristen Savage, born on February 20, 1973, is an American actress, comedian, and writer. She is best known for creating, writing, and starring in the hit show "I'm Sorry" (2017–2019). Originally airing on TruTV, the series gained popularity when it streamed on Netflix.
In 2022, Savage starred as Stacy Beale opposite Sylvester Stallone in the series "Tulsa King" on Paramount+, which was quickly renewed for a second season. Additionally, she appeared in "Look Both Ways" on Netflix and "Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe" for Paramount+.
Savage has also made notable appearances in various projects, including the Comedy Central mockumentary series "Dog Bites Man" (2006), the comedy film "Step Brothers" (2008), Hulu's reality TV parody series "The Hotwives" (2014–2015), and the HBO comedy "Veep" (2016–2017). She has also guest-starred in "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

Andrea Kristen Savage was born in Santa Monica, California, to Sharon Lee (née Chrystie) and Richard Savage. Her heritage is three-quarters Ashkenazi Jewish and one-quarter Greek descent, with her maternal grandfather being of Greek origin.
During her senior year of high school, Savage portrayed the title character in "Mame." She later graduated cum laude from Cornell University with a degree in government and a minor in law studies.
In addition to her acting career, Savage has performed stand-up comedy at various venues in Los Angeles, including The Improv, The Comedy Store, and The Ice House.

Andrea Kristen Savage embarked on her acting journey by portraying Renata Vargas, a Brazilian exchange student, on Sweet Valley High. She then joined The Groundlings theater, where she performed weekly as part of their company.
Savage landed starring roles in Significant Others as Chelsea and in Dog Bites Man as Tillie Sullivan. Her career further blossomed when she played Denise in Step Brothers opposite Will Ferrell, followed by a comedy tour alongside Ferrell, Zach Galifianakis, Demetri Martin, and Nick Swardson. Additionally, she appeared with Woody Harrelson in The Grand (2008).
Taking a hiatus to focus on motherhood, Savage returned to the screen in 2010, featuring in the film Dinner For Schmucks. During this period, she also filmed two television pilots: The Strip for NBC, created by Tom Lennon and Ben Garant, and Wilfred, an adaptation of an Australian comedy for FX.

Savage also showcased her creativity by creating and starring in a series of shorts for the HBO show Funny or Die Presents, including one about a very pregnant woman navigating casual sex and another titled "Reenactments of Actual Conversations from the Ladies Rooms of Hollywood."
Although originally cast as Casey Klein in the unaired pilot of Party Down, Savage passed on the role due to her pregnancy, allowing Lizzy Caplan to take over when the show went into production. Subsequently, Savage ventured into writing television pilots for Comedy Central, Fox Studios, and NBC (produced by Jay Roach), as well as penning the screenplay Girls Weekend for Castle Rock Films. She also shared the screen with Hilary Swank in the film You're Not You.

In 2012, Savage made her directorial debut with the satirical PSA Republicans, Get in My Vagina, which she wrote and starred in alongside Kate Beckinsale and Judy Greer. The short premiered on Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO and became one of Funny Or Die's most successful video shorts.

In 2013, Andrea Savage continued to expand her creative portfolio by writing a TV pilot for ABC/Sony produced by Jamie Tarses, as well as another pilot for Comedy Central titled River Dogs, produced by Will Ferrell's Gary Sanchez Productions. Additionally, she took on an acting role opposite John Leguizamo in an untitled pilot for ABC.
Her television credits further include starring roles in the FOX pilot Rebounding and Lies & The Wives We Tell Them To on NBC. She also made guest appearances on popular comedies such as Modern Family, House of Lies, and The League, and joined the cast of "Episodes" in its fourth season on Showtime.

Savage starred alongside Danielle Schneider, Tymberlee Hill, Angela Kinsey, Kristen Schaal, and Casey Wilson in the Hulu original series The Hotwives, a parody of Bravo's The Real Housewives franchise. She played Senator Laura Montez in Veep, initially appearing as the running mate of the titular Veep's opponent before eventually becoming president in a clever manipulation of constitutional procedure. Concurrently, she appeared in Curb Your Enthusiasm opposite Larry David.

In 2017, Savage achieved further acclaim by creating the hit semi-autobiographical TruTV comedy I'm Sorry, in which she also starred. The series premiered on July 12, 2017, with Seasons 1 and 2 also airing on Netflix and currently available for streaming on HBOMAX. Unfortunately, the production of Season 3 was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic and was unable to conclude.

Expanding her creative endeavors, Savage launched a podcast titled Andrea Savage: A Grown-Up Woman #buttholes in 2019, offering a platform for candid and comedic discussions.
In 2022, she continued her streak of success by starring as Stacy Beale opposite Sylvester Stallone in the series Tulsa King on Paramount+, which quickly garnered a renewal for a second season. Additionally, she appeared in Look Both Ways on Netflix and Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe for Paramount+.
