I've been using an AI assistant for a few weeks - Here's my first impression

A few weeks ago I bought a Nothing Phone 2a, which is a quirky, stylish, Android-based smartphone.
As it turns out, I had no idea about this, buying a Nothing phone gave me access to the Pro version of Perplexity.ai, an AI assistant.
You can use it for free, or alternatively you can go for the $5-per-month version.
The top-notch version, which is the one I got apparently, costs $20 per month if you pay monthly, or $200 per year (so basically two months for free) if you pay for a year in advance.
I wouldn't necessarily spend that kind of money on AI assistant, but since it's free, I thought I'd give it go, and here's what I found.
Perplexity works quite well if you need a tool to help you gather information. For example, I tried looking for more information about Publish0x, and what the AI tool does is it gathers information from publications, as well as social media channels, and summarises the content for me.
It is also quite useful if you need images. As per usual, contrary to what people might think most AI tools get this wrong, it isn't particularly good at generating AI pictures of celebrities.
I wrote about Sam Bankman-Fried the other day and the image it generated looked nothing like him.
It is however quite useful if you need to look for images or videos, or generate images for your articles. And you can do it using four different formats, painting, photograph, illustration or diagram.
Also, you can try as many times as you like.
I write a lot, about 10 articles per day across different platforms every day, so Perplexity is quite useful.
Is it worth the price of a subscription? I'm not sure. Maybe not.
Feel free to use this link to sign up. It's free, but you can get $10 off in case you wanna go for a subscription.
