Her First Fasting.

The Holy month of Ramadan has special place in islamic calendar as it has unique attachment to Muslims as we are in fasting which is one of the compulsory. In Qur'an ( holy book ) and in Hadiths ( Words of prophet Muhammad ( Peace be upon him) very clear instructions available about fasting, prayers and fundamentals.
Fasting is basic part of faith in almost all the communities like Christian, Hindu, Sikh , Jews etc and they perform it in different days , under different faith and scripture. But the common thing is everyone believe in it and obligations they do. The mandatory part of Faith in which we didn't eat or drink anything during a certain time period which starts in pre dawn time till sunset.
Today was 14th day of Ramadan here in Pakistan along with lot of countries of the area like Afghanistan, India, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Because some countries has 15th like Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Egypt and Indonesia due to time zones. But this day was so special for my family.
My youngest daughter Mano , age 10 , was committed to me on this year for fasting. Today we were all excited about her commitment. Although the announcement for initiative of Ramadan was too late , around 10.30 pm we comes to know that Ramadan falls but yet we arrange everything perfectly.
Today was first ever fasting for Mano and it was special day for her as well as for us as parents. I was not expected that she will carry it fully till last but she prove me wrong and completed the fasting with full swing. She finds some vibration of hunger in last hour but she succeeds to control it.
We arrange some special dishes on celebration of her first Fasting. We care her wishes/ likes in food and made memorable the occasion.
At the last I gave her special gift of her favourite lunch box , Her Mom gives chocolates and uncle gives some cash money.
Why we did this?
It was all part of motivation, encouragement and support to her for first test in compulsory Piller of religion. She feels proud on her accomplishments and achievement which is good for her future. This appreciation on her successful completion will give her booster in mental stability. She will be strong more to face the challenges of physical life . She will be able to control on her Hunger, thirst and anger which definitely help her to be brave. She will feels the true meaning of hunger so she will be humble and caring to hungary human around. She can express now what hunger means.
A blissful day ends and she again committed to be in fasting tomorrow as well . Really feeling happy and proud father.
