This is the reason Luca Marini is considering moving to Honda
Mooney VR46 team rider, Luca Marini, is widely rumored to be moving to Repsol Honda. Valentino Rossi's younger brother revealed the reason he was considering moving to the Japanese factory team. Marini has not officially moved to Honda. However, the Italian racer is reportedly getting closer to replacing the position left by Marc Marquez to Gresini Racing. When asked by GPOne after the 2023 Qatar MotoGP sprint race, Marini explained why he wanted to move to Honda.
According to Marini, he has a dream and goal of developing a motorbike for a manufacturer, racing with it, and successfully winning the world championship. And Ducati has the most perfect bike in MotoGP, so those things are easier to realize. "So leaving Ducati is not an easy choice, because with it you have a big possibility of fighting for the podium in every race," explained Marini as quoted by GPOne. Even so, Marini wants to move to Honda, because he has confidence that the manufacturer with the flapping wings symbol will rise again.
