Torum Shutting Down V1 and V2 | How To Claim Your XTM | And Your User Data
**Disclaimer:** Does this look like financial advice? You are right. It isn’t. Treat it so.
“Do Your Own Research” (DYOR) is not a fad but an important element of the cryptoverse. Do keep that in mind.
Long Story Short
We knew it for long, but the Torum team has now confirmed that they will be shutting down Torum V1 and V2 by 31st March 2025. So, what happens to your XTM, all the posts, and your content?
You can get it. Here’s how.
Straight to the Point | Withdrawing XTM
Since XTM was the native token of Torum and most users had enough and more content on the site, it is only fair that you should get both back. The Torum team has ensured that.
It won’t work if you go straight to withdraw from the site. You will have to fill out a Google Form, and the Torum team will get back to you in two weeks.
Here is the post by Jason Tay (Torum Team): https://www.torum.com/u/jayson
The Google Form is in the post. So, go on and fill in your details, including where you would like your Torum to be deposited. There are only two exchanges – KuCoin and Huobi. Do it before 31st March 2025. After that, all data will be purged (I guess) and all XTM burned permanently.
That’s It.
Now the Long Story
While XTM is worthless at the moment, Torum has some plans. Torum has already launched a crypto exchange and is now the sixth licensed crypto exchange (DAX) in Malaysia. They are also in the process of launching Torum Pay, an e-wallet for crypto transactions with VISA integration. In all this, they intend to keep XTM as the native token, and so, a chance that the value would increase in the future. Although, they claim the tokenomics would change.
So, if it works, your XTM will have value; if not, you have nothing to lose. The only ones with an issue would be those who spent money buying NFTs on the site.
Anyway, fingers crossed for you guys too.
